This is to allow Darren Lockyer's last match at Suncorp to be a 3pm kick off instead of Friday night which was 9's preference.
How about that…..
What !?!?!? Hang on a sec, The FIB said he tried as hard as he could to keep this game on a Sunday but 9 wouldn't budge !!!
Surely the FIB is not fibbing again !?!?! SURELY !!!

Um, its the last game ever for the Queensland and Australian captain !!!
I am no queenslander, but even I have no problem with it. Does not even compare
Sorry but the sooner we just drop the heritage rounds the better. Maybe they should be played every five years or so, it just causes to much angst.
AND
we should just have ONE jumper for the whole season, with equal amounts of black white and orange.

@Balmain Bug said:@happy tiger said:No one really seems to get it . The club and the majority of its fans want a stand alone club ,stand alone officials and stand alone jersey Granted the jersey should have the three colours of the merged clubs but that is about it . Lets move forward and create our own history ,not relive our past clubs history (unless it is Wests Tigers history)
happy tiger,
I understand where you are coming from. But this year in 2011, the club has failed miserably to do that.
So the best way for it to move forward with no bickering, is to have one absolute Balmain jersey, and one absolute Wests Jersey.
That way there can NEVER be any bickering. NEVER.

Take the red out of the rooster colours, you have the bulldogs colurs
Take out the blue, you have saints.
When we take out the white from ours, we get balmain
Its not hard, but its too hard for some at an apparent proffesional organisation
Get the logo right, get the colours right
MY POINT EXACTLY!!!
This is NOT Western Suburbs Magpies (I'm guessing that's the WE reference)
You see Balmain…. Because that's what you wanna see... The poor old Maggies getting shafted again!!
You are striving to make the Wests Tigers colours as much in tune your former team. A team that NO LONGER EXISTS at NRL Level!!
I get the feeling that most of the Old Balmain Fans here Don't care about the colour of our strip.
I heard no Gripes when our 10 yr Jersey was mostly white (Very reminisant of the alternate Maggies jersey from the 90's)
I have no problem with you guys flying the Magpie Flag... But seriously.... This is no longer about Magpies OR Balmain....
Both are long gone
@batboy said:Why would I walk anywhere in Wests fans shoes… Wests don't exist!!
**I don't care where we play or What we look like.**
I follow Wests Tigers... I understand that it started as a merger,
What you should understand is it is growing it's own Identity, In it's own Direction
@Balmain Bug said:Cant say it overwhelmingly represents the occasion.
The Wests Tigers advertising for this game that appears in the newspapers and the Wests Tigers opening web page is typical of management that isn't to keen to give too much away to the _'other side of the joint venture'_ as the Fib calls them.
So how do you think the WT have gone about advertising the Wests side of the JV for this game? In a game that is supposed to be celebrating the 61' grand final between Wests and St George, the Wests Tigers have typically chosen to advertise it in their own special way.
Yes folkes, the Wests Tigers will celebrate the Magpies by having the the Wests Tigers Logo imposed over a big bold **Black and Orange** Heritage Shield.
Yes folks.
But it gets better. There is a lovely **Black and Orange** thick diagonal stripe going through the advertising logo.
Great stuff Wests Tigers.
The one week where you get an opportunity to get it right, and you just cant resist but put another 'Balmain' tinge to it. Lets be consistant for the entire 26 weeks shall we.
Terrible terrible stuff. Makes me wonder how hard the Fib really fought for this game to remain on a Sunday for the Wests Magpies Celebrations to occur. :deadhorse:
Check out the advertising logo for the game below.

Time to sack the advertising guy I think.

Magpies are dead brother, the Tiger is the way of the future.
Thanks for the juniors by the way.
One NSW Cup team too, thanks.
The majority of the fans want it that way, get with the program
