Wests RLFC Extraordinary meeting - 15/12/12?

I can;t find any reference to this here but supposedly Western Suburbs RLFC have called an extraordinary general meeting for 15/12/2012 to withdraw from a Wests Tigers state cup entity and go it alone again in 2013??

Has anyone got any more info on this?

If this is the actual agenda then what are these idiots thinking????

The meeting will hold a vote on if WSM should accept a WT nsw cup team. The meeting is for members to vote. The thing is that meeting will be held too late to change anything for 2013.

The meeting is only being held to keep a promise made by the chairman.

It will NOT change anything for 2013

WSM will def be fielding a Bundy cup side.

Meeting is def on but is affectively a waste of time in most WSM members eyes.

From my reading of it Ink the situation is as follows.

The Wests Tigers NSW Cup side is already entered into the NSW Cup for season 2013\. It passed board level and the funding models are in place.

Essentially today was somewhat of a protest vote because they are voting to not support the combined team they contribute no money, no contracted players and no infrastructure towards.

Very short sighted because although admirable from one POV it is also basically a rebuke to the people at Wests Ashfield who are funding the Bundy Cup side for the Magpies though they are under no obligation to do so. A very Hammondesque move

Is this binding? Seems a step backwards as far as the WT are concerned but if the Magpies forum is any guide some of those people have zero commitment to the JV anyway.

I am not in the know about all of mechanics within the Wests Group but I believe so as 2/3rds of the Wests Group have voted for it, importantly the two with the money.

Zealotry can change things though, depends on free time, money and will

I don't mind noble causes - hell I've been a long-term supporter of AFC Wimbledon - but some of those people make other ex or current Magpies look bad by association. I refer to the ones who openly death-ride and take pleasure in the problems Balmain have. The people who try and advance junior development in the Macarthur I have a lot of respect for even if I sometimes disagree with how to do this. Unfortunately there are others who use that as a smokescreen for their ultimate motive of ending the JV and replacing it with a resurrected Western Suburbs Magpies.
