The disease where a player arrives at WT, starts out well and over time gradually gets worse and falls back to the level of the rest.

This happens year after year. I still remember Daine Laurie being our player of the year in his first year before becoming a journeyman fringe player. Most recently it's Terrell May who has fallen off. Klemmer another one who was great the first half of his first year. KPP started with a bang and just before he got injured there were signs of him falling back to the the normal. Turuva another who has dropped off this year. It was also happening pre-Benji with Packer falling off a cliff and I even remember Mbye looking good in his first year.

We appear to have good facilities and constantly rotate through strength and conditioning coaches.

Why does this keep happening? I don't get it.

Because we have a coaching team of tiger old boys . No coaching experience and no one to lead the joint around .

The "Wests Tigers Disease" is primarily caused by deep-seated cultural issues, high coaching turnover, a historically weak pathways system, and a losing environment that erodes individual confidence.
To break this cycle, the club has had to completely overhaul its front office and fully commit to a long-term junior development strategy rather than relying on expensive, quick-fix saviors.
Or I have to change sport ;-)

We don't have any quality coaches to improve players or make game plans, and we overpay for players who show a bit, overinflating fan expectations and belief in them (half of our current roster)
