They say the stadium can now fit 20,000 but it could already fit 21,000.

Remember in 2005 we got around 20,500 people against the Cowboys and there was still room for atleast another 500 people.

It wouldnt look good if they make it known they paid $8mill to make the ground smaller. As soon as you put seats where grass was your always gonna reduce the capacity.

This is what it would look like if they extended the western stand from dead ball line to dead ball line.

Let's hope the next bout of Govt. Funding that comes Campbelltown Sports Stadium's way can make that become a reality mate. A full extension of the current Western Grand Stand from dead ball line to dead ball line would be amazing.

Kogarah recently had a similar extension constructed with their existing Western Stand, and Energy Australia Stadium is currently undergoing a massive face lift as well.

We keep hearing about how important the South-West of Sydney is to the game of Rugby League, well how's about a decent sized Grandstand to fit and accommodate fans, rather than being forced to sit on general concourse seating or the hill when a Undercover Grandstand would be far more appealing.

I suppose if Australia wins the rights to host the Soccer World Cup in 2018 or 2022, it only enhances the prospect of a future nest egg for Rugby League and Wests Tigers. But in the mean time, extend the grandstand already!!

Thanks for the email address, greatly appreciated. Hopefully Chloe can
get to see her first Tigers game!

Are they talking about a new stadium built on the existing land that houses CSS ? Or a totally different site?

Yeh it looks good but who will pay for it?

The Federal Government as part of a redevelopment of the entire ground to convert into a 40,000 seat stadium for the World Cup.

I bet wests Leagues leumeah is loving all this stadium talk.

So after having massive upgrades for the 3rd time in 12 years the capacity is now less in spite of $25 million being spent, I sort of recall one of the upgrades occurring in the the Keating Labour government regime, remember the other Kate and the white board fiasco and about blowing Huge Grants.
So what has been achieved since then, really, do we genuinely have a ground where the NRL can't come back in 5 years and tell the club it doesn't meet the criteria meaning that more money has to be poured into it?.
