Enough with potential Liddle to sit in reserve grade until his form says he deserves the spot more than Farah.

Pretty obvious isnt it.

I agree. I think he has shown he is already the better hooker so Farah starts in reserves. The only question is do you ease Liddle in and play 3 forwards and a utility or 4 forwards on the bench.

Lol he has shown nowhere near anything that puts him in front of Farah.

haters gunna hate

I know poor Jacob..

Lol im sure you know the difference between merit and hate

There is no way LIddle is better than farah atm…..I can see the potential but atm he needs to play a good six or so games in the reserves, prove he is fit and killing it.

The we can reassess.

I think the trials decide it. Robbie was not the player he used to be last year (except for overplaying his hand) and players rarely improve at 34.

I think a lot missed Liddle's back end of the year in ISP including making 74 tackles against a big Mounties side where some of our more established NRL reserve graders didn't have a go..

I think so too.

As far as fitness goes - At the start of round one 2019 I would think Farah and Liddle would be as fit as one another.

Depends whether Maguire wants quick service from DH and quick scoots from DH or not.

I don't think it's close and I think Liddle is clearly the better player right now. Robbie has too many hog plays still in him, his defence isn't great and he lacks that explosive pace out of dummy half. He can still scheme around the ruck but his service isn't as quick as Liddle's.

I think if we have a utility on the bench then Farah has a chance to make the team if we play Liddle as an impact player. If we go with four forwards Robbie wouldn't get the first shot simply because he isn't the better player.

Yep. People haven't been watching Liddle and I thought Liddle was poor at the start of the season. He was injured and it took him some time to come back.

exactly, farah can walk out into the sunset knowing that he has helped the boys in the ISP grow cause he played with them for most of the season

1 Moses Mbye
2 David Nofoaluma
3 Paul Momirovski
4 Esan Marsters
5 Robert Jennings*
6 Josh Reynolds
7 Luke Brooks
8 Ben Matulino
9 Robbie Farah**
10 Russell Packer
11 Chris Lawrence
12 Ryan Matterson
13 Elijah Taylor

14 Zane Musgrove
15 Alex Twal
16 Josh Aloiai
17 Matt Eisenhuth

18 Luke Garner

*To me Jennings is a signing we need, a realistic player that doesn’t have a contract. If unable then Thompson.

**FAF / Liddle to me would come down to pre season testing. If one cannot play 80 mins then they are cut. No need wasting a bench spot for someone who could take over the hard yards in the middle.

Liddle and Benji to wait for the inevitable injuries, they will come I am sure.

Taylor, Brooks, Farah and Reynolds could cover the spine if 1 goes down whilst someone on the bench moves into back row

Huth, Aloiai and Twal all have experience in the middle and could cover back row in a pinch.

Only way you wouldn’t have an experienced player to cover is if you lose a winger. If you lost the full back, Nof to fullback and would have to play Matterson to centre and Momirovski to wing.

So I guess that’s my team and why.

M. Mbye, C.Thompson, R. Jennings, E. Marsters, D. Nofoaluma, B. Marshall, L. Brooks, R. Packer, R. Farah, B. Matulino, C Lawrence, R. Matterson, A. Twal, J. Reynolds, Z Musgrove/T. Mikaele, M. Eiso/L. Garner. It's not going to be easy picking a 1st XIII
