Wests Tigers announce Steeden as apparel partner

I have the training shorts. They look good, but don't feel as nice to wear as the ISC or Blades versions. How's the material in the new jersey feel? I did like the Blades material - whilst not as good as the old school Balmain & Wests jerseys, it still seemed to breath a bit more than pure poly.

I actually do not mind that idea ..it would look modern and less complicated . But then the fossils react with we are a joint venture remember .

You could do it so the magpie is an outline in the tigers fur /stripe like already mentioned . Subtlet there but , only if you are looking for it . The magpie is not relevant at all , especially if wests Ashfield start to consolidate all thier business under 1 banner ie. wests tigers .

On the logo, I believe it is pretty dated and I've never liked it TBH.

I would love to see if someone could knock up a profile drawing of Tiger head and try to impose a subtle Magpie in the black and white fur of the Tiger and make that the logo. I mean I have no clue on how doable it is and I have zero artistic talent but that would be great.

I understand the need try to and separate WT from being seen as just Balmain or Wests but I feel we really cheaped out on the redesign of the tiger and it was change just for changes sake.

agreed, hasn't changed since the 2000s and graphic design has evolved plenty in the last 21 years. it feels like we're coming into a new era at the club, it's about time our image reflected that.

Wouldn't mind a new design, although what I'd like more is to return to the gold colour scheme over the bright orange. At least for one of the jerseys next year. High quality colour for a brand new era.

I agree that the current logo is actually pretty good and served us well but very dated.
I've always thought the Bengals NFL logo would be a good choice as a possible updated design. Clean, relatively simple, has our three colours (the shade of colour could be changed easily) and would give fans a far greater choice of merchandise than any other club (NRL might not like that point).


Similar to the syle the panthers went for.

That is actually very close to the 60's/early 70's balmain tigers logo, which I love but I think has no place in the merged entity.

Not super fussed about the logo though I thought the twenty year version in the badge worked well. TBH i just wish we would pick and stick with a jersey. My favourite was last year's main jersey, though I would have a predominately orange one rather than the white one as the alternate.

And I know the Magpies wouldn't allow it - but now they want NSW cup played before the main game, I really think we should revert to a Wests Tigers reserve grade side. Keep Wests and Balmain at a junior level (and maybe Ron Massey) - potentially even give them their own Jersey Flegg side but senior's Wests Tigers.

Our current logo is cheap, and for many years that was the perception of the club. Now is the time for a more refined design, in line with the changes at the club.

agree the Canterbury Cup side should be wests tigers not magpies, magpies can have flegg and Harold Mathews
until that happens no need to blend a magpie into the wests tigers logo
