Wests Tigers "big news" at 3pm 2/10/14

the warriors just announced their head of strength and conditioning is leaving could be a coincidence but also what we need

Vodafone Warriors general manager football Dean Bell has announced head of athletic development Carl Jennings is leaving the club.

Jennings has been at Mount Smart Stadium for two years after being appointed by former head coach Matthew Elliott in late 2012 to head up the strength and conditioning department.

"Carl has made a big contribution to the Vodafone Warriors with the work he has done in our high performance operation," said Bell.

"He has overseen major improvements in our resources and facilities notably the design and installation of the gymnasium which is now recognised as one of the best facilities in the NRL.

"We really appreciate all Carl has done at the club but he understands Cappy (head coach Andrew McFadden) is now looking to build his own team around him in the football department.

"Carl goes with our best wishes and we thank him for his efforts."

Jennings has worked as a leading strength and conditioning coach for more than 18 years.

"I'm disappointed to be leaving but I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here," he said.

"We've made a lot of progress with the players from where we started with them in late 2012 and I feel they're on the right track.

"Along with my family I'll take away a lot of good memories."

Bell said a decision was yet to be made about a replacement to head the club's strength and conditioning department.

Hey I hope not. Sam Tomkins has said he trained harder in England and couldn't believe how soft the Warriors training is

could just be the announcement of membership packages??

but im hoping good assistants, new facilities or new S&C trainers

Wow, i just cannot contain myself. I can barely even type this cos of my hands shaking and overall adrenalin running throughout my body.

lol….dont think they'll be trying that one again..

Welcome aboard ISC...new jersey's will make them SUPERMEN...

they may, i repeat MAY, have finally used the correct orange, not that horrid hi-vis blood orange crap

What is the point of building up something as meaningless as that? How many times will they call wolf, and then when there is something important to announce, nobody will care!

Looks like we are in for a off season of big news stories to keep the punters minds off 2014.Anyway I understand where their coming from they have to give sponsors some fan fare and fame, that's what they are paying for. Just like with others I got my hopes up it could be something more to do with our playing roster.

As I said I think their will be a steady flow of "big news stories" for the next couple of months till they can start writing about football related stuff after xmas

The guy at Wests Tigers who tweeted that big news would be announced at 3pm certainly has a great imagination. Is a broom also going through our Admin department?

Just wondering, what are the chances of having jerseys available on the shelves in time for round 1 next year?
