Are you in the construction industry? I don't think anyone can reasonably comment on the current state of major construction sites unless they either (a) work in the field, or (b) just themselves completed a major construction.

I could speculate until the cows come home but I wouldn't have a clue what is a typical construction over-run in 2022.
I am and a 8 month overrun is becoming more typical. Still unacceptable though….

Tradesmen are mercenaries at the moment. Sell your arse to the highest bidder.
If you have even half a clue how to promote yourself and/or run a business, you will cash in big.
Yeh was referring to hospitality.
Heaps of ppl overextended and lost due to staffing.

Yep, not unusual to see major developments run behind into at least 12 months.

Did an install in Newcastle last year that opened 10 months after the fact. Rain, lockdowns, material lead times were all factors.

Material lead times alone are a killer. There's plant from Europe that I used to be able to order and have lob up 13 weeks later on the slow boat. It's out to 32 weeks now.
