Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter says he won't walk out

Sheens did help the club out when he first joined. But a coaches legacy is seen in how he leaves a club & Sheens left the club in a worse state then when he arrived.

Potter now has to do more than what Sheens had to in his first 2 seasons.

but don't let facts get in the way of your story 'guest'

Potler will still be cleaning up Sheens mess by the end of the 2014 season Knuckles

Same way Sheens had to clean up Lambs mess

Be nice to see a clean handover ,wouldn't it ??

Like other clubs , look at Manly and the Bulldogs they switch coaches and live goes on regardless :brick:

I have been a critic of micks with certain things but have also maintained he should be the coach next year if things are ideal. I think the 2014 players, board and mick need to be locked in a room and made to thrash out everything/differences and all move on with the same aim that is to improve this great club. Mick obviously has the passion and nuts to do it. Players need to grow up but we on this forum also need to grow up, sheensy and benji are damaging themselves we should stop the hate campaigns and reflect that they did contribute to a lot of good things for our club as well. Lets stop all the hate campaigns and all try and move on the a bright looking future.

Yep that junior programme he left was dreadful.

the juniors he refused to play, opting to sign park footballers & old hacks in front of them?

its only a good program if he uses it.

which he did when he first joined, but didn't use in his last few years anywhere near as much, or as well.

again, don't let facts get in the way, you're spinning a good yarn

See. Even this simple cowardly moron can see i don't have an agenda.

Sheesh, calling peeps morons, imbeciles and idiots cos we disagree with their opinions is a little ordinary, after all we do go fo the same club.A little respect wouldnt go astray.

Swear this was league unlimited.

Anyway on topic….Im not a huge fan of Potter,I reckon he has made some clangers, but sacking him would be sheer madnesss after the craziness of this year.

Its nearly impossible to gauge how he has gone with the injuries, lack of form from key players and general hullabulloo.

Next year with some injury luck and a squad he has picked we can see if he is up tom it or not.

And clowns!!

But you must admit that anyone who wants Potter gone is not thinking this through properly

If we get rid of him now , we are just going to have Groundhog Day with 2014 being a repeat of 2013 where the new coach will have to start putting his stamp with a new inexperienced line up

Actually the last thing the young players need truth be told

And add to that we are wasting 200 k to have both Potter and Sheens sitting on the sidelines with their voodoo dolls

I support Mick Potter especially now that Mayer is the CEO and the club has sort advice from the NRL HQ for a future direction. If a player or players don't like it go find another club, it is time for the Wests Tigers to forge a winning mentality not a mentality driven by individual egos.
All I ask is please get us a decent defensive coach and someone with half a brain to stop our young blokes injuring themselves in the gym.
Mick Potter Wests Tigers head coach in 2014!

If he has fallen out with the dressing room and they let him stay on, it will only flare up again.
United we stand divided we fall …. If the players don't want him then it won't work no matter how good a coach he is.

100% with you on this!

You guys ever been managers before? Sometimes the troops get restless because the manager is hopeless, but just as often the troops get restless because the manager is very good and putting them under the spotlight.

I wouldn't assume that certain whinging players / leaks to media are evidence that Potter can't do his job. Let us not forget last year all the rubbish that played out when Sleau and Heighno were released - unfortunately we are a club at the moment where everything plays out in the media.

Compare, for example, to the Doggies who underwent such enormous issues like the rape allegations 2004, SBW exit, sexist comments after the GF, salary cap breaches etc. So little of their inner politics played out in the media, esp once they'd parted ways with Wille Mason and his big mouth.

Bottom line is players look after themselves and if they can sacrifice the coach to take pressure of themselves, you can be sure that they'll do it! (you only have to look at us last year and how quickly they turned on Sheensie)
