Wests Tigers confirm Jason Taylor as new coach

@Chris said:
Why isnt there anything on the official Wests Tigers web page about Taylor being appointed yet? You would have thought that they would have posted some kind of video of an in house interview with him dressed in tigers colors by now, surely!

There is Chris, they coupled the announcement in with the appointment of Phil Moss.

Sorry for using facts princess.

I will say what I want, when and where I want. If you don't like it, I don't care. That's your problem, you deal with it.

I don't bag everything about them. I've been actively defending Farah in here and some of the other players when many of you are hating them despite being too stupid to realise the value they provide.

I'm sorry I demand the club I support to be run professionally and successfully.

Perhaps I should lower my standards like you do and just be happy that they exist.

Who are you to demand anything from anybody?

You can't even control what comes out of your mouth. Get over yourself.

Unlike you, I don't use my mouth to type.

Telling me to get overmyself in a condescending tone is the height of hypocrisy.

I am entitled to my opinion and my opinion is that this club can and needs to be run far more professionally.

If you don't like my opinion, then that's your problem not mine.

Quite possibly, like in most jobs, you have to give a few weeks notice before leaving your current job.

Taylor is probably still a Roosters employee at the moment, which may be the reason.

Yes I agree. Their both likely in their notice period. Patience my friend I'm sure there will be lots of media on the two come membership time.

I think that there is also a possibility that Potter's contract does not expire until the end of October.

I asked Mayer and he said they havent done anything yet out of respect for his current employer

Yet there are plenty who will still want to sink the slipper in to Mayer,he is doing a pretty decent job I think.

What goes on in your brain either comes out of your mouth or on this website. I am sure you understand that.

Please tell us how you would run the club "more professionally"

I can type without speaking.

There's no point in me stating to you how I would run the club because you're already adamant that every idea would be stupid, based on your unjustified angst towards my opinion, no less, on the internet.

People who are so easily offended by such minor things tend to be very petty.

Thus, are not worth entering into veiled serious discussions with.

You are merely looking for an opportunity to criticise or discredit me. I know you would fail at it.

So consider this as me doing you a favour.

Get over yourself and move on with your life.

Obeying the simple and well-entrenched constructs surrounding the hiring of people is hardly evidence of great work.

You obviously have never had any dealings with Mayer. His public/twitter face is very different from the real man.
What happened with Robbie and Tedesco was Mayer at his best. Mayer has some personal agenda against Sam Ayoub and his players.
I hope the board don't take too long to work out the club needs a professional CEO with integrity.

Players meeting with Taylor tomorrow morning before Grand Final Luncheon.

its quite ironic that you're criticising mayer for having a personal agenda when you seem to have taken quite a liking to potter over the past 2 years….

No agenda. Just helping you out, I told you Potter was a dud from day one but at least Potter was trying his best for the team.

Mayer on the other hand is all about Mayer.

I have been told second hand that Potter couldn't even sack anyone under performing or doing things against his wishes.
If true it really tied his hands and makes you wonder if the orders came from the board or Mayer?
Pretty sure Taylor will (and should) have hold of the reins - here's hoping for the best!

Extremely difficult job for Potter with Mayer controlling everything. Yes looks like it will be a different story for Taylor.

It will be an interesting meeting tomorrow, looking forward to seeing who JT will put in as his assistants.

I really hope Taylor controls things, even if he was not my choice as coach. I will support him and whoever he brings on board. My expectations are to make the eight. Hope his are too!

Not sure if this has been covered. Or if this is the place for it. But it doesn't warrant a new thread.

Did anyone hear Magquire on NRL360 last night talking about Lote? Basically went on to say when he joined souths the training nearly killed him. He couldn't keep up with the rest of the squad and was part of the reason he was dropped. Didn't really elaborate if he was unfit because of injuries or unfit because the Tigers didn't train nearly hard as the Souths did.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter.
