Wests Tigers dont wait any longer

The time is now for the wests tigers club to make some hard decisions if they wish to compete for premierships in the forseeable future. After losing the last 5 games in a row questions are rightfully being asked,of the coach and the players. The tigers are no doubt a bottom 4 team and unless drastic changes are made,2017 and beyond will bring more heartache.I Know alot of people will call for the coaches head,i myself am not a JT fan,i believe he wont last the season, but can a new coach turn this team into a winning one?I believe some players put in week in week out,it shows on the field,it shows at training, and shows in there performances, while others are underperforming whether it be because of lack of effort in preparation, lack of coaching,or are just not first grade standard.I would like to hear some of your thoughts on players we should be retaining and not retaining, and not just a partucular player bashing on the milones, lovetts, etc as it is not just one or two players letting this team down this year.

Because for the last 4 years we as a club have struggled the most since our establishment in 2000,and our 4 year rebuilding plan is obviously not working

What is so different about now as opposed to anytime for the best part of the last 16 yrs?

Nothing. And it will continue into the future. We are, and will continue to be a second rate club.

A lot of our players just aren't up to 1st grade. It's as simple as that. I don't really see the point of sacking Taylor. Unless we got a Bellamy, changing coaches will not do squat. People wanted Edwards in today, they got their wish. he tried but looks a plodder. Addo-Carr got his chance and again tried but he isn't ready. Everyone wanted Milone deported from Australia this time last week but today he was solid.
The way some people on this forum are carrying on it's as if they believed we would make the 8\. Our roster shows us as a bottom 4 side and that's what's happening.
The solution is to buy well for next year but who want's to come and play with us?

Don't worry, it is working. We have good young players and as a team we are a work in progress but unfortunately people these days wasn't instantaneous results.

The coach huffed and puffed last week and we all expected changes, alas none came, only through injury, the coach has put up with below par performances all year, and he expects us supporters to as well.
I know our roster is not great, but having players play so bad week in week out and keep getting picked is no way to take the club forward.
We need a new coach, we need to tell our 2 halves they take up their offer this week or it is off the table, we can't be messed around any longer.
We need to drop a few players from 1st grade now and tell another 5 or 6 we don't need them next year and start looking at our problem areas, secondrow and centre.
We can't just bumble along for another 5 weeks like we have for the last 5 weeks, we need some clear direction and accountability, at present we have neither.

Instantaneous? Brooks debuted when benji was still at the club. How much longer is it gonna take?

If only we were that sort of club.

Tonight we had rookies, plodders and reserves graders out there everywhere you looked.

It was a great effort to be fair.

Those 17 players did the jumper proud tonight I thought.

On the overall scheme of things I agree the club has to get serious about being in a position to buy established players.

The year we get 2 really good 1stgraders in the off season, well the next season will be Top 8\. Until then expect much of the same a few early wins, losing streaks and close losses.

You have to look at the body of work wins, losses, player development and recruitment. We have a terrible win loss ratio under Taylor 10 wins 22 losses. I have no faith the players are where they need to be under the coaching of Taylor. Moses and Brooks should be better organised and prepared to run the team not just play off natural talent. Can Taylor retain Moses/Brooks and can he get improvement to match the price tag. Is he a coach other players will want play for when we have salary cap room?
If not move on now.

If the Moses field goal goes over do we have this response? ?

I would lean towards…No.

Its five losses in a row. I'm glad your pleased with how the season is panning out but some fans sees it for what it is. The same old crap for most of the last 16 years.

I think there were a lot of positive indicators that came out of last night's game. Let's wait to see what happens against the Raiders. We have a very good chance against them with their horrible form, poor defense and low confidence. If we don't measure up next week, then questions should be asked because at some point we have to start putting things together. We have enough talent with our best squad to be competitive. The young halves decision making and the intensity in the forwards have to mesh and maybe that comes down to coaching…

Firstly lets not get carried away with how good we think we played, I'll give credit that we went well considering the loss of our 2 best forwards but Melbourne we're bloody terrible, they handed us that game and we fumbled it and threw it away. You won't see the Storm play that bad again.

Secondly we need to really consider the 6 and 7 for our future and i wouldn't be offering any big dollars to retain them, make them an offer and they can take it or leave.
I personally think Brooks isn't the player that this team needs to turn us into contenders and I'd be letting him go.

Please buy a halfback with a kicking game wests tigers recruitment!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is a very simple discussion. Under the current coach (Taylor), how many of our players have significantly improved, particularly the halves?

Tedesco has improved out of sight, while the majority of others have plateaued or even gone backwards. Under Potter there is no doubt, while results weren't too much better, Moses & Brooks significantly improved, as did Woods, Tedesco (again), Nofoaluma, Simona.

To me, this is black and white - Taylor is not improving this team of very talented and promising players. We need a change of coach, and we need to do it ASAP. If we continue too long like this, there could be irreparable damage done and we could lose very talented young players for good.

arguably Naiqama, Woods, Sue, Seumanufagai, Lawrence, Moses, and even Lovett improved under Taylor
