WESTS Tigers Forum members get together..

Great news on the get together,Blackpearl,Newtown,Ink and TT are going to be there prior to the lunch at midday,any one else interested please PM me or reply on the thread…
Things are starting to come together for a fantastic day...please let me know if you are interested as I have to make up a table and put up flags and banners...cheers guys...

More great news ,Cunno and his father In law are coming to the meet and greet,and I told them they are more than welcome,that's who we are ,very receptive to people and kind and caring forum members.

Hey fellow forumers,just a quick update on the get together on the 15/8/2015.. TT is on the track of getting a WESTS Tigers player to the meet and greet for a bit of a yarn and Q&A..

Waiting for a reply from Mr Talintyre at the club for an answer,I will keep you posted on the answer and who we possibly get if it can be arranged…

Big thanks to GEO for helping me find a contact at the club....

I rang and spoke to the WTs about getting someone to the midday meet and greet..
Unfortunately I was told all the squad are required at before and after game day functions,I asked for Marty or Rowdy they have to go as per commitments…

Sorry guys,but TT never gives up...I will try another avenue at my disposal...

It sounds great, with or without a Tiger luminary TT. I just spoke to my son and we're both keen to drive down from the Central Coast….Thanks for your efforts. We all need to turn up and help lift our Tiges clear of the spoon....

I hope you make it mate,the young bloke is more than welcome as is anyone associated with us…I haven't given up on getting a representative of the team to come,I'm still trying although it's getting a bit exhausting today...
 
Hi guys,another quick update for the get together..I have sent JT an email requesting one of the squad members or second tier players to attend the function for about 20 mins if they dont have commitments.
I will update you as soon as I receive a response from Jason…
 
No need for a player to attend from my pov…no probs with it if others would like it and if one can be arranged...ive never been real comfortable talking to players, bit awkward for me
 
Good effort TT, still a chance of coming along.

Also guys, is anybody else intending on bringing a child along if going?

It feels a bit awkward for me in that type of setting as well, as you sort of feel they are obliged to waffle on, rather than engage in true conversation. I had a chat with a couple of players and a staff member prior to the first dogs game, but only as circumstance made it appropriate,

Never have picked you as the shy type Ink. I'd love to see the quick and witty 15 word responses that would just leave them going "Ummmmmm….... What's your favourite pizza topping" :slight_smile:

I just usually hang back a bit and suss people out a bit when first meeting them.
The players = I might ''know'' them….but I know they dont know me from joe blow

Hey FG,stevied is bringing his young boy along and maybe a couple of others,your young bloke is more than welcome and is the main reason I wanted a player to come along just to say hi and talk to the children….I really don't care to converse with the players as Ink said,I'm just another joe blow who they would forget about as soon as the show is over...

Hey, you forgot me TT!! And, it's almost certain that I'll be bringing my 20 year old son. Gee, that gives my age away…...35 - I was a mature young bloke, ha ha! We'll meet at the club then probably sit somewhere in GA although I might check reserved seat prices.......Should be fun!
