My info is that Moylan and Capewell are a good chance of being in our colours in 2020.

Well that's a downgrade on Matterson so we must still have him as well

I hope your info is wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me...

We won't have a top class hooker for most of next year. We don't have much depth in the halves. I think an attacking, ball playing fullback would make a huge difference to our chances next year and I can't think of many better than Moylan that are off contract and that we can can afford.

If sharks are paying some of his salary for the next 2 years and it is a 2-3 year contract this looks like a great move to me. Every player is a risk of form slump, injury or party related banning. I remember Moylan doing his best to drag an awful Panthers team to wins a few years ago, touching the ball 3-4 times every set, playing as fullback and half at the same time.

I also think there must be some reason Mbye is not playing fullback, if he is free from injury and playing at his best we don't need Moylan.

I think I know why, because he plays like Moses Mbye.

Interesting. How reliable is your source?

This is an issue in its own right. Most teams have hookers whom are very important to their attacking structure and we have no recognised hooker which means we require options elsewhere to make up for a quality #9. So if we aren't signing a quality hooker. We'll need a quality centre or second rower who can be a genuine attacking option.

I'm cool with that, Capewell is only 26 and a regular in a better pack than ours and Moylan, well high risk no doubt but surely he realises this is the last chance saloon for him, he is good when he is good, hopefully Madge has the key, getting him fit is probably a big start

Of course everything relies on us not paying through the nose for either

Madge would become the Messiah if he managed that

From the Sharks version of the pom...

Moylan is being shopped around very hard, 2 clubs are interested but are baulking as we aren't offering to pay all that much of his current wage

Would take him for $500k, not $900k.

He'll be another Reynolds, minus the heart. Do not do this. it will bite us.

Would you take him if they picked up a lot of the freight, so we were only paying around $400k? I get that he's not worth full freight, but worth the risk at $400k? I'm thinking he would be at that price.
