Seriously they need to drop the “tigers” . And make the Wests smaller . There’s just too much going on .

The whole WestsTigers thing was stupid from the start.
Should have been called Wests and the logo a Tiger.
Would also have saved a lot of bickering.

Agree…. In 2021 . 1999 me didn’t have that kind of foresight to understand “Balmain” was just a suburb on the other side of the Anzac bridge . It’s been proven that the logo was far more important than the title . Hence why a lot of the old magpies guys get upset when we are called the Tigers . Because the Wests doesn’t really get a run.

I can't help but draw comparisons with a plot line from the TV show Utopia; we've got the money, we've got the new logo, the new CoE, publicity and fanfare ...... the only thing we're missing is a high quality football team.

It has been happening through the NRL for the last few years. All clubs were asked to review logos to make them more digitially friendly as well as to fit within the NRL marketing guidelines (look good monochrome, fit int he stupid NRL shield thing etc).
