I will not buy anything from them ever again. I will go to a large retail store, like woolworths and see the profits go to a multinational rather then the team i support.

Geez, i hear this type of mentality alll the time. Sorta like the bloke who drives an extra 10kms to another servo to save $1.80 paying for petrol when it costs them $4 to get there.
WT have an online store. It's not like the van is your only time/place you could've bought the jerseys. You just wanted to be tight and save $10 and are now trying to get people on this forum to side with you.
You are just trying to milk the club of $10 and want to make out you are hard done by in stating you were willing to fork over $450 to start with. If you weren't, you wouldn't make such a statement by hinting at that you will go buy your jerseys elsewhere now.

Sounds like Mark got the better deal in this case though. I would have thoughtin this economic climate, customer service would be at a high, since people are more likely to go to the cheaper alternative if it's available.

Its not really the money issue, I had the money, I just dont see how being too busy, bad mood, or outright lying is good practise

They have plenty? 10 minutes later NONE! How many is plenty that in heavy rain, you can sell PLENTY and to not bother putting it aside!

Its the principal. With a banner out the front saying every cent spent here goes to the club! You would think " THE CLUB " would be promoting it!

I would never buy anything from the WT Van as they are overpriced. Which brings me to the point, when buying at the game or club supporter stores why do we pay 100% RRP when all the profits go to the club ? If the club sold jerseys for say $120, I'm sure most people would buy them at the game, the club would still make more profit then they would from what the retailers pay for them and would most likely sell more jerseys as they become more affordable to people. How many people wait for end of season sales for that reason….

you could of paid the extra money on EFT which they have available as well

The guy infront of me, was told it was down. Horrific conditions weatherwise, she never remotely offered when i said i need an atm

On merit, **I will not be complaining**, I will simply go elsewhere.
Rebel has my size, instock, $119 H, $119 A, $105 10 yr one

There loss, $100 more in my pocket!

Well if you cant be bothered bringing up your petty gripe with the club why waste your time here with it? We cant fix it!!

Two sides to every story ….I work in retail and know that the customer is NOT always right .I had to travel from Penrith to Campbelltown to buy a 2010 Wests heritage jersey for my sons birthday , phoned ahead to make sure the store had one in his size and when i got there the guy was more then helpful And took $10 off ,btw i always treat retail staff the same way I would like customers to treat me when i serve them .

If that was the criteria for posting this forum would be very empty indeed…..

Rugby league fans on forums can be harsher than judges on reality TV, but the Wests Tigers merchandise van is targeted more than almost any other merchandise van in the NRL.

Even when it was a large part of the premiership at the Tigers in 2005, the Wests Tigers merchandise van copped a pasting from supporters, and things have only gotten worse this season since it returned from the drubbing at the hands of souths at the SCG

Every week on Tigers websites the Wests Tigers merchandise van is blasted as "pathetic" and belittled as being Tim Sheens's "root ute".

But as his match-winning performance against Newcastle on Friday night would attest, he has always been a class act.

Despite the constant hate mail it receives on the net, the Wests Tigers merchandise van has been to more than 100 first grade games and in atrocious conditions at EnergyAustralia Stadium, played a courageous role outside the gates in a make-or-break game for the Tigers.

In pouring rain and driving wind, the Wests Tigers merchandise van had the toughest job of all outside.

He rejected of a number of penniless moochers that saved the Wests Tigers merchandise van from being short on the night.

"I don't read the forums, there's always someone who's got something bad to say about me," he said.

"I think everyone goes through that. But I just do my job and I feel like I'm part of the team and that's it. I don't read them so I don't really care.

"(The weather on Friday night) was just one of those things. The punters are going to be short and they're going to test you out. You've just got to do your best, I was lucky it went my way.

"Taking some of those sales was important. I drop my guard there and they get a free cap and were short"

Sheens said supporters who continually attack the Wests Tigers merchandise van were put to shame as the makeshift van lodged in his claim for a permanent posting at all NRL grounds

"The Wests Tigers merchandise van had a great game outside, he's been criticised heavily amongst fans, who call themselves fans. They give him plenty, but you try and add and subtract whole dollars in that (Friday's conditions), he did great," Sheens said.

"The Wests Tigers merchandise van spied a conman there that I don't think too many would, one of those cockney accented sheisters. It was a screamer and he swallowed it."

After two years with Hunter Holden at Penrith , the Wests Tigers merchandise van returned to Tigertown hoping his experience could help Wests to its first final series since 2005.

Rumours during the week suggested Canberra were interested in his services for next year, but the Wests Tigers merchandise van said he has not spoken to anyone.

"I'm happy in black white and orange, I dont think I'd look good in green and I'm not keen on the cold winter mornings"

The Wests Tigers merchandise van is hoping the Tigers have now put their embarrassing loss to South Sydney behind them and, whether it is outside or inside the gates, the 3-year-old Iveco Daily is determined to see Wests build together back-to-back wins.

"Especially at this time of year. If you want to make a run to the semis, you've got to start getting back to back wins," he said.

Good Job on the article Ink

On the service I would definitely be making the club aware of it as customer service is becoming more and more complacent with them these days and they need to hear about it. I would certainly not treat a customer that way and we have done in the past and would in the future give a customer a lousy $10 discount if it was warranted. Considering the conditions, the fact you were buying three jerseys, eftpos was down and the teller machine was outside the ground it would have been enough for me to write off 10 bucks and sent a way a happy customer to tell all his mates how good the club are. We are a small business and not exactly thriving in the current climate but even we are not that tight. And if they are not authorized to give any type of discount then the least they could have done was be really nice about it and explain they are not able to discount but will hold the items for half an hour.
