Winnipeg your right the kid looks massive do we know how old he is? What a forward pack we will have again. Did anyone see also how Sa Fifita went as he also has big raps on him.
We also have another forward who the club had massive raps on, is Vella, cant wait to see him in the trails.

Things to work on: Todd Payten
AJ Carr

Wests Tigers National Youth Competition coach Todd Payten praised his young side after a seven tries a piece draw with Canterbury Bulldogs.

The coach of the reigning premiers spoke exclusively to Wests Tigers TV just moments after full-time: "I think all our forwards had a go," said Payten. "We went in with 20 players, they went in with 25.

"We only had two out and out front rowers. Everyone chipped in, rolled their sleeves up and got a good hitout out of it.

"I thought Salesi Funaki, he's a back rower, from SG Ball was outstanding.

"Manaia Rudolph showed some good glimpses."

Payten was quick to point out that there is plenty of room for improvement if his charges are to go back to back to back in the NYC competition.

"It was a typical first trial, we dropped a fair bit of ball," said Payten.

"Our contact was out, our timing in defence was pretty poor. We've got a few things to work on."

Salesi is only 17 turns 18 this year so is still able to play SG Ball again. I think he will bypass SG and will be selected in the NYC squad.

I know there is plenty of talent in the halves but would like to see Billy Kitt given a descent go at some stage.
I was super impressed the 1st time I saw him play at age 15 he has had a few injuries since and got screwed around by the magpies a bit but a change of luck and a bit of confidence could see him back to his best.

Wow, unlike a heap of bigger guys, he actually bends his back and cuts the ball player in half. A very good sign as similar size players get lazy when they know they have that size advantage. Earth to Adam Blair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Cause he's a powerful looking unit at this stage.

Looking forward to seeing him run around in the NYC. That video stamps him as one to look out for.

Yeah but nyc and sg ball are full of big polynesian players who look great but its really just cause they are bigger and stronger once they rise to the first grade level and play men they really quite often are the first to go soft after years of bullying others with their size.I would be more excited if we saw jarryd hayne or ben barba type skills. His solid hitups on film would get absolutely donkey licked in first grade. His most impressive aspect is his hole running on the edge of the ruck with a good left step and some good pace for his size.Could be a starter at centre before second row in firt grade I would think.
