Madge, Kimmorley and a few other members of the coaching staff were watching on.

Side note: I think the Wests S. G. Ball fullback a few of you guys were raving about from the trial last week is Bryce Wilson, not Corey Thomas.
He looked impressive once again but cut open his mouth making a try-saving cover tackle in the first half and didn’t return in the second.

Was also at the games and completely agree with the standout players mate. Think all the ones you listed were great

Cheers for listing the standout players! Was hoping to get updates from someone at the ground yesterday but the forum being down threw that idea out. Good to see Herman T on that list after hearing some hype about him. How did Solomone Saukuru go for Wests SG Ball? Was a gun in Harold Matthews last year.
He looked okay, not a standout, then went off in the first half with what looked like a shoulder injury.
But yeah, first game at this level + he’s playing a year up (still eligible for S. G. Ball in 2023).
Still a real talent.

Thanks mate...appreciate the info! Hopefully injury isn't too bad and he can keep developing his game over the course of the season.

Wests must of played the trial. Both wests and balmain must have good sides.

Balmain 4 looks a gooden. Looks a big fast fella.
He was a standout on the day. Runs like a madman

Noticed that cathane Hill gave a nice ball to get him in the clear.

The Matamua line break and try assist is very classy! I could definitely get used to seeing a bit more of that in the coming years!
Hill wasn't spectacular but provided some nice link up play out wide for sure
His passing is so slick, the way he breaks the line and passes around the corner is wonderful and something that elite NRL forwards possess
Quality of footy over the weekend was high..
