Akauolo played 1 or 2 games and now doesn't seem to be getting a look in yeah?

Does that mean Potter doesn't rate him and he won't be re-signed?

Potter is still new to the team and he is still seeing which players go well in firsts and who doesn't. He should get a go again this season but it just depends when. Potter's main focus right now is Ava and Sue, he wants to see if they continue their good form or if it drops.
 
i think bulk Sue up and he will be a really good hole runner on the edge in a few years so defs keep him. think he has been in the best 5-8 players for almost every game he has played. i hope all the hype is right around Gavet and we can give him a few games this year and hopefully he can stand up. get rid of Iosefa. Sorry Lote and Utai but i think your time has come and dont give them another contract. dont know why we signed Lawrence for 5 years when we did the deal. from what i remember last year as well Groat wasn't that good but apparently has been going well in NSW cup so would like to see him again and see what he can do.
 
Gee there are some long term players on that list I'd like to see go at the end of this year and vicaversa

He is a young bloke and went okay.
He could be giving them an experience and then put them back in reserve grade and see how they go sort of thing. See if the jump in grade gives them extra hunger.

You just noticed that now ? That is the way it has been for years.

Moltzen friend of Marshall… here have a 3 year contract
Ayshford a relative of McDonnell... here have a 3 year contract.
Blair another McDonnell and Sheens special...5 year contract.

Lawrence is different no one could have seen what that injury would have done to him.

If I was one of the young guns I wouldn't be rushing to sign up long term until the dead wood was gone.

One thing looking at the list shows is that we could make a play for a big player either for 2014 or 15\. Here's what i'd do.

1\. Of the off contracted players, i'd release : Bell, Brien, Gavet, Iosefa, Reddy, Utai and Tuqiri.
2\. Of the off contract, i'd resign : Akoula, Groat, Koroibete, Naiyavaro.
3\. I'd then upgrade/extend contracts for: Nofoaluma, Seaumanafagai, Simona, Sue, Tedesco and Woods.

Now assuming Blair is moved on, perhaps we can throw a little more money at bringing in another prop for next season. I would also assume it would be a good opportunity to give Marshall his upgrade and if they were to extend the contract too then perhaps allow more to be paid this season. Allowing for more available $$$ to be freed up for 2014-15.

I think Eddy and Patty's contracts are possibly one year too long, but I could be wrong..
Reddy is decent, he's a keeper imo.

I have written them correctly no typo's but you must mean the club signed them for too long?

Gee, I'd be keen to have a look at Gavet before I kicked him to the curb. He was rated above Buchanan, Ava, Groat or Sue a few months back.
