Nice job guys!

Interested in when you guys mentioned 2022, with Hastings and Brooks the likely halves with no mention of Mbye. Is there an assumption that Mbye is gone?

Really enjoying the pod format with Eddie, Declan and Garry. Particularly when bringing any inside goss.

The discussion today that Hastings is likely to be 6 rather than 13 which was originally reported was very interesting.

Everyone is saying that Brooks/Mybe works because Mybe supports Brooks game and is quiet and doesn't overall Brooks giving him confidence.

Hastings aint quiet. It'll be interesting to see if Brooks/Hastings combo works or clashes.

Hope Deouhi doesn't turn into another Mybe who doesn't know his best position.

My preference is take a leaf from the SOS and play Mybe and Douehi in centres as extra fullbacks, let them move across field and jump in where they see opportunity.

Have Brooks, Hastings, Laurie, Liddle, Doeuhi and Mybe all as running playmakers.
Its the type of structure that I think we evolve thanks to the more open and quicker game.

More like a touch footy structure with your middles and links.

I really liked the structure NSW played with in the 1st game, I don't know if it could be replicated without the quality of player that NSW had. I really enjoyed seeing centres playing both sides of field and it is something I have missed.

I remember growing up centre was like the star position. And I must be one of the last who grow up playing inside and outside centre before it changed to left and right.

Its now turned into the least valued position on the field. Even wingers are more valued.

My point is, if Deouhi is set to remain as a centre, and we want him at WT, let's turn him into a roaming centre, rather than him getting the ball 3 or 4 times a game.

TT showed the way.

Trouble is Doueihi isn’t that quick, but I like the idea anyway. He’d have to be the inside centre

Mate I would love to see it. I got to play as an inside centre in high school but only because my coach was a little old school as centres were already playing left and right.

The evolution of left and right players always has frustrated me, it started with centres, and then 2nd rowers to the point halves and 5/8ths were playing left and right as well. I really hate halves playing left and right and am glad Brooks is playing both sides a lot more now than in the past.

Maybe Doueihi could make a go of roving centre but I don't think it is something that Mbye could do well. Doueihi does like to sit on the right though, even when playing 5/8th.

Madge might like it because in a way it is old school. Go back to the free flowing footy of the 80s. Hastings and Gildart may help as SL is less structured and free flowing than NRL.

Love old oldschool coaches. For my midjuniors were coached for a bit by Chris Mortimern in Wagga the mid 90s. He would still get the forward numbers mixed up with the old system and no one knew what he was talking about.

Don't think he was going to talk left and right positions. Get the ball to your best players in the best position more often. Its not rocket science that they make it out to be

Yeah you can still have defensive structures when defending. But when you have the ball you can do what you like.

I kind of like how madge has been moving players from left to ring wing or centre or 2nd row. Need to show them they can play well anywhere not just in there cordior.

Problem is coaches like players being in the same position in defence, because there is quick turn over and your left centre is on the right it throws the structure out.

In saying that our players, mainly the wingers are already roaming, but they can't defend anyway lol
