Blaming Western Suburbs for the current state of the club. ha.

Heard some bad takes but this must be up there with the most moronic and made by someone with either a very selective memory or severe CTE / short memory issues.

Wests are running the club aren’t they?

Sound logic. They do therefore they are.

If only the management of Balmain ( who went insolvent) were still around to guide the Wests Tigers.

I thought it might have been a heat of the moment kind of comment but the doubling down has shown it wasn't. Good luck with the Balmain Hour moving forward.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating - zero finals, zero success since Wests took the reins. I wish it wasn’t the case but it’s just fact.

Yea, if only Ashfield could pull masterstrokes like hiring Jones, renaming the club, moving to parra stadium. Remember that? The 90's was not a great time to be a tigers fan ASWELL as being a maggies supporter. There is a reason the two clubs were prime for the JV.

I have no doubt that Ashfield have their issues but claiming them to be the sole reason for the current shape the club is in is just silly.

Anyways, its 2021 and I really can't be having discussions about long dead football teams.

I like the podcast a lot but it is very Balmain centric. Really you guys need to move on from the us and them stuff. It spoils what is otherwise a great listen. The comments in the last episode would have been better left unsaid. There are enough problems without dragging that old chestnut through the mud again

Completely agree and not for a moment suggesting Balmain was any better or not without it’s own issues, it’s just a pity that we’ve ended up with a (essentially) one-sided management structure instead of the hoped for diversity of a merger, or an entirely fresh/new WTs upper management/ownership.

Speaking personally, Balmain will always be a big part of my life, especially as a boy, but I’ve now followed WTs for a longer period and I care deeply for it. I’m concerned that we are on a path to oblivion at present and have concerns about what is happening in the upper reaches of this club.

100 percent pascoe upgrade needed.

Most enjoyable listen find myself nodding to almost all that is said! Problem I believe Pascoe & Co truly believe they are doing there best and can’t see they need to hand the reins over to a new group. Let’s hope they don’t take the ship down with them!

I think the podcast is OK too. Another choice of things to listen to. I have at times thought occasionally gets caught in the media hype as if it is fact (especially when a discerning critique of the claims can easily be proven otherwise), and occasionally too much agreement by everyone, but I'm being possibly too critical. It's a good quality podcast.

It does what it's meant to. It is thought provoking. Sometimes challenging the status quo, sometimes too honest. I listen every week. On my list of quality downloadables amongst a sea of crap.

Hey lads,
I’m not sure how possible it would be but was thinking it would be awesome if you were able to get Faf on the pod.
Not withstanding his contribution to the club as a player it would be interesting to hear him speak on the year that was and his involvement with the club going forward as well as his thoughts on how we can improve.
Cheers.

First half of the podcast very good, second part not so much.

We need stability and that means sticking with the coach.

It’s funny how the senior players, brought in before Madge, are the ones that have an issue but the newcomers don’t. That tells you heaps, especially when it’s those senior players that are the under performers and under achievers and have been for many years.

How would those newcomers react it Madge was to be replaced now? Do you think that they would clash with a new Coach? I do, and so the cycle would repeat and no advancement would be made, and Wests Tigers would be back to the beginning once again.

Those juniors are our future and they need someone like Madge to show them what is needed to be successful. They don’t need another another rookie coach who doesn’t know and they don’t need a coach who can only win through chemical enhancements.

By all means surround Madge with good tacticians as assistant coaches but for the sake of the clubs future Madge must stay.

I knew you wouldn't like part 2 lol, I agreed with you for most of the season mate. **I don't see why the young players would clash with a new coach?** The biggest issue I have is Madge's inability to adapt and a total lack of defensive structures, our defense is getting worse not better.

I like Madge and really believe he wants what is best for our club, I just don't believe he is it.

It happens on every turn over and it wouldn’t be any different now. It’s one of the reasons most successful clubs are successful and it’s because of stability with a long term coach. If Madge has deficiencies then fix it with smart assistance coaches. Madge needs to stay.

Absolutely mike, I agree with your view, while I can understand why many may disagree.
Stability is only one piece of the jigsaw. More importantly we need continuity. Only continuity will renew the culture.
I realise it was a few moments grab, but during the wild wests doco, the message from Maguire was consistent and should give us an insight into his challenges.
However, with that in mind, I was disappointed to hear Lee say, when discussing the outcome of the review, that anything he and Justin do has absolutely no bearing on onfield performance. When you can get everyone in the organisation accepting that they make a valuable contribution then you will see an improved culture.
Lee and Justin need to show some leadership in this area.
Wests Tigers always seem to be moving in a different direction. I would like to see the club stay on track and head in the same direction.
