Eddie took me by surprise being so supportive of getting Gutho. I doubt it will happen anyway.

Agree - I thought it was outrageous to suggest that the club should rig an awards night. I thought Galvin had a great rookie year but Samuela was outstanding as well and when you look game by game it prob made sense

I thought Api was a bit below his best this season, I don't really fault him for it as he was trying to carry the entire team on his back.

I understand why he won the Players Player though as that is the type of performance that is going to resonant with your team mates.

Yeah, he was a victim of the poor roster, like Brooksy in the past. Leads to overplaying and too many errors. Refusing to leave the field when you need a spell etc.

Overall though, I can’t go past his effort and ultimately in the games we did win, he was enormous.

Fainu and Galvin very deserving award winners too.

Yes they all had good moments.
They also all had poor moments and unfortunately more of them than the former.
Let’s hope for better from them next year after a big pre season.

Out weakest links have been strengthened somewhat and hopefully that means our errors won’t be punished as harshly (everyone has poor moments in this sport).

The three players being discussed will need huge seasons if we are to get out of the bottom four in 2025, hopefully with more support from teammates.
