@Cochise i was surprised Garry said to sack coach after arguing there is no better option. I think "keep" or "sack" madge is a very simple way to look at it.
I'd be really interested to hear you guys talk about the options the club could look to do to support madge, before sacking, including:
New assistant coaches
- better assistants who can take advantage of new style of game
- some highly credentialed assistant who can challenge madge - i.e King Henry type
- younger assistants who can relate to our young brigade (Gardiner & farah)
- get in a hard nosed assistant who can be more if the anger guy when needed, so madge doesn't need to be that guy
New selective player additions
- get in some more vocal, stronger characters in the team to support madge
- a year without packer, Moses, BJ, Roberts
Better administration leadership
- give tim sheens a clearer role similar to a phil gould role
- new ceo which sets standards and hold everyone accountable, including madge, tim sheens
I'd rather keep madge for another 2 years but with plan to build all of the above around him. And know we've given him all he needs to succeed.
If he still fails, then its then clearly on him. Plus then we have a stronger structure to attract a new coach

As far as I'm concerned, I've seen little evidence we're improving in this area. It's taken 21 weeks for Madge to find the correct strategies to promote task cohesion within the team and his failure to enhance teamwork and accountability are very worrying. But yeah I'd like to think management will explore all avenues given the grown frustrations.
The only thing I'd like to add about what the club's priorities should be, is that I believe our identity should take precedence.

It feels no differently today and the whole routine explanation to what has prevented us from success (or why we're no better) is starting to become intolerable, especially as it's always been the same reason - we've got one hand tied behind our backs.
So yeah I just hope the club can get its act together and work toward the common goal we all share.

Yes all of those things you’ve mentioned have held us back and yes it does feel no different from a decade ago, however, I wonder if we’re not seeing the behind the scenes foundations for success which have been put in place? Of course as you know, it wouldn’t matter how big the CoE is, or the next 32 yo marquee signing, or who the new coach is, unless the club itself can set an example of what teamwork is. Get a home ground, wear one jersey and have a single cultural identity.

The club has NO identity you do not have one with 6 home grounds most think that One Home Ground does not mean much !
After years of preaching ONE home ground will be the catalyst that will unite this organisation … there has to be a major decision made by the club as the organisation is in quick sand and sinking .
This needs to be made ASAP .

Disagree with chunks of part 2 about Coach and the doco.
This doco portrays the extreme emotions after a major failure to deliver on the park.
There was a brief montage of Madge teaching the guys which appears to have glossed over.
There is fundamentally a vacuum of leadership in the squad.

I'm still all in on Madge.
I'm at the point where I to and fro on Madge, I go from wanting him gone to keeping him, the lack of structure in defence is a real issue for me. The reason I to and fro is a struggle to find an option to replace him that would have a high chance of getting the club to where it needs to be.
