So in the aftermath of Willow and Cochise being removed as mods we are starting to get a little clarity as to why the moderation style changed lately. Seems the club sticking its nose in to this place might have had a bit of an impact. We saw those who were consistent and vocal in their criticism of the club treated a little differently to those who were more positive and less vocal.

No wonder the Punt Brooks thread upset Willow so much. No wonder the hammer was swinging on so many so called trouble makers.


It is also quite possible that it is totally unrelated

God you play the victim so well . Could it be that it was an endless cycle of abuse hurled at one player?There would be pages upon pages of abuse , then there would be a huge argument , bannings , then silence for a week . Then The cycle would repeat again .
And you my friend were also knee deep in amongst it ! You weren’t Robinson Crusoe though . I always found myself sucked in , same as 5150, paws etc .
The whole thread was a joke . And all of us who kept forever repeating ourselves couldn’t see the forest from the trees .
On both sides of the argument .
But yea , it’s because “you were a trouble maker “

It was just trolling in the end. The thread was never allowed to come to a natural conclusion at the end of the season because someone insisted on bumping it at least once or twice a day with crap just to keep it going. There was nothing happening besides troll comments that weren’t in any way constructive. It made the forum look juvenile.

Yep ! When I realised I was being trolled , I stopped posting for the most part , unless I saw something egregious. But even then I tried not to. The fanboy stuff annoyed me the most . Especially when people would say stuff like he’s not great , but there’s a real halves shortage . And then get called a fanboy , and off it would go again .
Anyways , if the forum is going to be filled with those types of conversations moving forward , the shift to the podcast forum , is going to be on the cards for many . Because that thread was a joke and is indicative of the difference between the types pf conversations people want to come here for .

I have never considered myself one of the troublemakers.I was speaking about these so called trouble makers. This is what happens when you read comments from someone you dislike. It can blur the lines of what they are actually saying.

You'd be better off hitting the foe button than replying with this personal rubbish every time you reply to me.

I can keep my calm and I wouldn't ever give you the satisfaction of replying in kind. You are wasting your time here.

I will answer this mate, that is not the intention, through our work with the Ambush, one of our roles next year is to promote various supporter groups and connection places. We printed out the promotional material last week that we will be using. Promotion of this forum is included on that. There is no aim for this to be an us against them situation.

Discord is a free open platform that is completely different to a traditional website. It’s like comparing Twitter and WTF. Even a cursory glance at both platforms could’ve helped with your confusion.

This website requires $$$ to run. $$ that are driven by clicks. These blokes know that and it’s the reason that they now advertise their website on the pod and the same reason they come here to pump it. The more traffic they can get on their forum the more $$$$. The same thing cochie was accusing @kul of doing.

Do you think if cochie and the other one were still mods that this would even be a thing? That they would have a separate site and advertise it here?

The podcast site literally has a link to this forum mate. The pod advertises this forum.
