One of the uncomfortable issues for private ownership is the likelihood that a new owner would want her/his staff in major positions in the club - CEO, Chief financial officer, recruitment, pathways etc. It's their money!

And that's the best thing about it. They won't accept Neville Nobody mismanage the club.

Someone like the CEO would stay on as caretaker of sorts to keep things in order and if they impress stay on

The difference between what we have and an org run professionally is mind blowing. Not that our guys arnt trying but years of mismanagement and wasted money have led us to where we are now. Compared to Melbourne who did cheat, yet were run professionally. The difference is night and day. If we get our act togeather we would be much bigger than them. It shows how much potential we really do have, if managed and run properly.

Well PVL put the ATC in administration under the Racing Act (not the Corporations Act).

I pray that the NRL has the same Act to rely on to step in as the regulator.
