Wests Tigers Punt Ayshford

Does anybody remember what Jennings did to us ?
Put him in our team with a backline full of real speed (like a few of our young guys) and watch the tries flow

for the opposition?

Yeah tig_prmz that's hilarious. Jennings is so crap hey. He just lets opposition teams score tries. Didn't make 5 line breaks, 400 tackle breaks and 2 kilometres in attack when he played us.

Why the club wants to keep Tuqiri and let go of Ayshford is beyond me.

They don't. Humphreys said the club is committed to helping Blake rediscover his form. Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

Are there still rumours around that Tigers are looking speaking with Jennings ? I would prefer Jennings any day over Ayshford.

At $600K a year? Real value for money there :unamused:

altho is on $600k, someone replacing his contract would not necessarily pay all of the contract…Penrith might be left paying some, if they are desperate to move him on and free up at least some dollars.

Still cant imagine him coming here, but he has plenty to offer IMO

Plenty to offer, but we've seen with Blair what happens when you sign someone on big bucks when they've got plenty to offer and don't deliver. Don't get me wrong, I think Blair played well at times during the year, but even if we didn't sign him for the touted $500K a year that is bandied about he was still poor value for money. Jennings is erratic and has a poor work ethic. He will not live up to his price tag.

That means the club is also committed to finding a genuine half who can give quality service to the backs. If it's Jacob Miller, so be it. But, it needs to be a genuine 7, not a makeshift one like Benj.

I think you have to give Ayshford another chance , but the only problem with that he will be worth nothing if he has another shocker season

Tough call to be honest

Ayshford is dead weight, like beau. Jennings I'd love to see him in our backline. If we are willing to pick up 300k of his contract I'd jump at it and so would penrith as his contract even though they are paying half would be exempt from their cap.

And seeing the club is losing Miller next week , after we spend this money to buy Jennings what do we do for a 7

We have this monster of a backline and no one to feed it SG

Any idea if we are still talking to Lui ?

Yeah, I don't see much of a point of this without a decent enough halfback.

Would definitely look at Jennings if we don't have to pay him 600k. And I'd give Blake another chance, I mean he had found great form in '10 and '11 and unfortunately didn't perform this year, but don't forget that our whole team suffered a little bit. Imagine how he would have gone in a successful year? (Same goes for BLair)

Ayshford still in the air, need to see a solid contract, and what about Miller, has he been signed, we really need something at 1/2.

Miller is signed for next year, his existing contract,he was looking to leave a year early because Sheens won't give him a go.

Ayshford and lawrence are a great centre pairing but only with benji as 5/8\. They killed it last year. Moltzen? Why do we seem so keen to keep him? Keep ayshford!

If tigers pickup Jennings , I would live to see ayshford in the back row. He runs like a backrower and we could play 4 forwards off the bench
