Wests Tigers re-sign Zane Musgrove till 2024

I'm a big believer in learning from your mistakes - I would like to think Zane is smart enough to realise shoulder charging someone is going to result in a stint on the sidelines, but some people just never learn...

It takes a special kind of hot-head to to put on such an obvious shoulder charge when the entire rugby league world could be watching... damn the consequences from what I saw!
(edit: I'm not saying that we don't need a player of his ilk - in fact I agree that we do. Just that he will make it hard for himself if he doesn't understand that type of brain snap will do his career more harm than good)

A little bit in 2 minds about him after a couple of the things that have happened recently, but for a long while people have wanted a JWH type enforcer.

This guy could be as close as we may come to that.

Willing to give him a chance to show us what he has, because he just may be that guy.

Zane can play, there's a reason why he debuted at 19. he's an agressor and that can sometimes get the better of him but that's a quality we have craved in our forward pack for years. the amount of wraps Tamou gave him in preseason makes you think he'll certainly be a big part of our team this season and going forward. losing him considering our draw for the first couple of weeks isn't ideal at all, but I think providing he stays injury free he'll certainly live up to expectation.

I wonder if the coach spoke to Madge about Musgrave .....how to get the best out of him without turning him loon ....

Obviously playing for your culture could get very emotional to many players

Not making excuses ...but some players like Musgrave play very close to the edge .....doesn't take much to push them over

Just saw the hit and was a shoulder but no contact with the head! The fact he was suspended for 2 games is a joke! Peachy puts a shoulder on towards the end, is he missing any games?

Doesn’t appear on any injury lists. His last game was so bad he’s probably playing park footy somewhere.

Don't see him sitting out of reserve grade for no reason... must've been an injury or something. He could be a top quality prop if he played with the effort of someone like Twal or Seyfarth but he's got some laziness in his game. Think he'll be back though

a stint in reserve grade is what he needs right now. hasn't played much footy in the past few years, needs to remember how to hurt people in defence as opposed to the pathetic arm grabbing you saw against Manly.

Musgrove is one of those players who looks like he should be good, but isn’t. Big and strong, physical, but ineffective. Defence horrible.

Started off the season looking like a world beater after getting a call up for the indigenous game, gets suspended and after that looks like a dud.

Signing long contracts with us seems to be the underlying cause in so many cases or am I imagining things again.

Packer 2.0 at the moment but on less money,hopefully that will change for the better
