My Rookie is between Teddy and Simona but Tedesco will get it for me.

Simona has been playing since like 2011??

Simona played 4 games in 2011
played 3 games in 2012

Farah played 4 games in 2003
played 3 games in 2004

He was W.T. Rookie of the year in 2005 = Simona therefore eligible.

If not Tedesco then Buchanan, did'nt do anything flash but did his job in a forward pack hammered with injuries, was really impressed with his work ethic, i don't remember him not putting his hand up for a bit more work.

I have Teddy first with Nofa second. Like you I was impressed with JB's work ethic. However he really needs to start punching through the line. He reminds menof bryce Gibbs - he collapses when he gets to the line. He needs to play more upright. Surprised this didnt improve during the year as I would have thought it would be an easy one to fix.

Ava would be close to Teddy if not for the fact he only got decent game time in a couple of games.

Jesse Sue for me. Plays with aggression and has made the step up from 20s easily. Ill disciplined at times but I rate this kid.

This is one of the best threads all year. It certainly makes us count our blessings and to look forward to 2014.

Southern your right, but im more inclined to take a look at the coaching of the forward's even Galloway just seem's to jog then dive bomb into the line, i don't know why it's just so ineffective, Galloway's such a big guy i expect him to bend the line a lot more. The great thing about this thread is we are choosing the rookie of the year the candidate's are all deserving and we pretty much have enough to fill a first grade team. Really great time's ahead for the mighty TIGERS.

The encouraging thing for next year is the list of eligible players having played first grade this year. My pick is Teddy, came back from serious injury, improved his game as the season progressed, played in a very difficult position in terms of playing behind Wests Tigers, could have been scarey at times. Also impressive, Simona and Jesse Sue whose aggression and willingness to stir up opposing forwards is good to watch, just has to cut back silly penalties.

So many candidates, none really stand out which is a good thing, our young guys were some of the most impressive on the field.

Sue has exceeded all expectation, nothing super flashy just rock solid defence and hard running. Something like a 92% efficiency in tackles, which for a rookie is amazing.

Buchanan started well in a badly beaten pack, struggled with impact in the latter half but never the less had a solid first year.

Simona/Nofo….well, thats self explanatory. WOW is the only word needed.

Tedesco just got better and better as the year went on, some real glimpses of his potential in the last round, super exciting.

Can't forget big Ava, provided real impact from the bench, a steady improvement each week. Along with Sue he tends to get lost with all the hype around our backline guys....fans on this forum have noticed though, this guy has the goods.

I'll go for young Sue …....... he looks the goods to me.

Tedesco first, with a fair bit of daylight to a fairly even bunch dead-heating behind.

Milky, it is good to see you weren't put off too much by some of the responses last week

Tedesco, Nofo and Simona.

Hard to separate but very very close for 1\. Simona, 2\. Nofo, 3\. Tedesco.

Could be a dead heat.

I agree with you there. With buchanan. Also he played the whole season. Great effort!

I think Buchanan's body lets him down in terms of strength and speed. If his brain was in Galloway or Ava's body he would be an extremely effective prop.

Nofoaluma for mine. I think he's easily been the most consistent backline player for the year amongst all players let alone the rookies. Tedesco has been a big improver during the year but I think Nofo has been better overall.
