In your fish bowl way of thinking maybe Snake - but the club is a hell of alot bigger then that.

I can see why we used to go to NZ , it's a big market like parra going to Darwin, Roosters to Adelaide, Souffs to Perth. I don't see the same benefits in Tamworth.

Because it’s not just for the township of Tamworth it’s for the whole of the New England demographic area plus into the Qld regional areas on the border. People/Members travel from all over to get into these towns to watch their teams...These regional areas have been neglected and forgotten about for far to long.

I meant the benefit to the club .

Who knows it may motivate a starry eyed 12 to 15 year old to be the next big thing hopefully with WT's

@Eldersli
matt parsons,jamie lyon,dallas donelly,jimmy leis,allan tongue,ronnie gibbs steve simpson and Nathan blacklock came from north western towns.
im sure there are more.

Dont mind the game at Tamworth. Its the Bankwest fiasco of playing our home game against Parra @ Parra that pisses me off.

Hopefully the team has a training run in Taree before the Tamworth game. Would be a,worthwhile PR exercise. The Taree Tigers has a good ring to it.

I'm really pleased to see the positive comments now, as Us playing there can only be good for Our Club in not only gaining new members and fans, but helping to popularise and grow Rugby League.

Congratulations to Wests Tigers for taking a pro-active stance with this:santa: :v:

I agree. I would love to get up there for the game but unfortunately other circumstances prevent me going.

The merchandise the club would sell would be a huge plus, maybe pick up some fans that aren't really aligned to a club, good for the people in the bush to watch some teams run around. They might not have access to go to live games every week, but I'm sure a lot would have foxtel/telstra and effectively still put money into the nrl purse.....
