I'm keen to see this match. I think the Eels are one of the more beatable top teams and we were competitive with them last time and have improved our play. I obviously expect a big let down but it's a good challenge for us at a good time. Would love to see us at least play properly.

I feel the same and isn’t it sad many of us go into games as supporters hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

That Parra forward pack and bench is impressive.

Negative things I expect:

- Incredibly, James Roberts hasn't been targetted in two games, I expect Parra will get at him and he may be up for some errors. I like Roberts and like him on the wing, but this could be a rough one

- Halves to have more pressure and not go so well. Our forwards have been dominant creating time and space for our halves. Mbye has actually looked good. In this game I think his lack of attacking threat will be exposed a little. He needs to take the line on a little more than he does and it will be interesting how he goes.

- Defense to be tested. Still think we're a little confused out wide. Our tackling has been excellent the last two weeks, if that doesn't hold up and they get us on the back foot I don't think our outside backs are good defenders.

These are the things I'm interested in seeing. Solution against all that is, and always will be, the performance of our forwards.

I hope he plays as he has been great with brooks in the halves and for some reason it works...

If we string a few more wins together I'll be getting to the point where I hope he stays next year too! To be fair to Mbye, who is always derided as a 'jack of all trades master of none', if he can cement down this position he might become a jack of all trades and master of ONE.

It's so immensely frustrating that it took us this long to pay our highest paid player in the position he has been most successful in his career.

Yep agreed. I was calling for his head but he has been great at 5/8. Maybe that is his spot. Brooks has been great since Mbye has been in there too. Actually hoping he stays. Can’t think of anyone if the market better to replace him with.

It'd be a good outcome if we can restructure him. Take his next year's salary of 800k or whatever, add an additional $300k and extend it over another season to make it 550k off the cap next year? I wonder if he'd take it.

Sell high, sell now. Mbye is a pro he is playing for a move and extended deal. Tigers are wise to his ways.

Haven't seen Walters play since he returned, but people who have say he's been surprisingly good in reserves. Like someone else said, Madden is a halfback, so he is there to replace Brooks if needed. Walters is cover for 6.

Aside from some heavy sarcasm, there is no way anyone would have made this comment 5 weeks ago. How times have changed.

Was a big critic of Mybe named in the halves and the constant obsession from Madge for including him on the bench despite the lack of forward punch.

But credit where credit is due...if Brooks keeps playing like this and our attack continues improving like it has, I am more than happy to continue pouring this egg on my face :+1:

I still don't see anything in him at all. We have changed our attack plans and set plays, any decent half would easily do just as well as mbye. I give him zero credit.
