Our defence was great a few days ago so I can't see why it would suddenly be ineffective.

Spot on.

No suprises, but Manly will be hard to beat.

On a side note, once a player does his knee he should be hooked and not allowed to return to the field. How many players have done some damage to their knee only to return to the field and make the injury worse?

It's not bravery, it's stupid.

You have to wonder how this situation eventuated?? Could the coaching staff be that naive?? I know you could probably argue that it happens all the time and never backfires but this time it did and it's not a good look.

Very dissappointed in the club for constantly getting our hopes up about KG…

Back next week hey? Believe it when I see it Tigers... :unamused:

This is Terry Hill all over again.

I think the people that are laying blame everywhere about Galloway are a funny lot, have any of you considered that it may have been Galloway's choice to go back on the field well aware of the risks?

If you have, not one of you have said so.

It is quite possible that it could be nobody's fault but Galloway's own.

This is not the time to break up combinations. This Manly side is red hot at the moment and we will need to be almost military in our defensive discipline. Yep this game will be won by the team that makes the fewest errors and misses the least amount of tackles.

Yeah i know its a completely different situation, but Robbie Farah played on that day with concussion, yet hes lauded as a hero and so tough for doing so…..

It works both ways.

Ive heard from people in the know Galloway is struggling big time and the Wests Tigers honestly have no idea what hte problem is. He cant even run yet.

From that source they dont actually think he will be back this season.

:unamused:

I saw him running hard the other day . . .

Hard enough to be a surprise late inclusion Bug…*insert praying emoticon here*

All Laurie does is look mean IMO. His reliability rate is about 0.02.
Happy to keep the side as it is, but would like the truth about Galloway.
Hope Gallant drinks 15 coca-colas before the game and blitzes it and then we sign him for next year.
Collis - blah - see ya later turnstile.
Happy to keep Dwyer on the bench.
Like it

Not sure. He ran almost flat out in a straight line from what I saw. No side steps or lateral movement that I saw.

Yeah, he was confident of playing this weekend last week… So i was very suprised he didn't get mentioned in the lineup He started full training the week we smashed the Cows... I think he'll play...

After hearing that Gibbs called him out for the season on Facebook I assume he is a special to be a late inclusion Monday.

if the 17 man squad that is named, can defend well again on mon night, that in itself is a big chance of wining the game.
great defence leads to opponnent frustration.
do not give watmough, or orford any room to move, at all.

Keith Galloway (knee) and Chris Heighington (leg) are ‘‘50-50’’ chances of returning for Wests Tigers for their clash with Manly on Monday night. The Sea Eagles are expected to be as named.

SMH "Late Mail"

Come on Sauce!!!

I was talking to a friend at work yesterday who is friends with Payten and he said Galloway had been training strongly this week but the club may wait until game day to decide if he plays.

It sounds promising…but after thinking about it ...is this the game to bring Galloway back?....I mean we are going to need all hands on deck to combat Manly's big pack of forwards....Galloway is bound to be underdone match fitness wise and would no doubt be tentative given the nature and length of his injury...would we get the minutes we need out of him?...I can't wait to have the big fella back fully fit and firing...Given the importance of this game is it better to err on the side of caution?...Hold Galloway back another week and unleash him against the Rorters....
