I don't know about anyone else, but signing an NYC player and chasing a player who may well be subsidised by his current club for 2013 doesn't leave me with a great deal of confidence that we have much cap space going on there.

FFS… Let up on the kid. He was thrust into big minutes well before he was ready this year and couldn't handle the pace. He definitely wasn't short of enthusiasm so how about you give him another year or two before writing him off.

Anyone who compares him to Woods has rocks in their head as props do not mature as early as Woods has. Aaron is a freak.

Well im not sure we were after Luke Lewis and we still have 15 players off contract im sure we still have cash. And we might sign Brent Kite as well lets wait and see in the off season.

I think it's a great signing he has from what my dragons supporting mate says a great prop all yr in the 20s . Can't believe people aren't more excited when sign a star under 20\. We have a heap of great young kids coming through in the front row which is great

Absolutely agree. Its not like people just like Groat because of the jumper he wears.

Who else would say St George are the first true rival club for Wests Tigers? 2005, 2010 prelims, Moltzen saga etc Hopefully Buchanan will be a gun signing and another thing to add to the list. :slight_smile:

Sounds alright, plus the kid is still growing and will get stronger. What this means for moors and groat, i am not sure but at least the tigers have snared a good up and coming forward.

Yea i can just see another normal day at Camp Concord - Sheens and his sidekick Roycie going through the database of all the second rowers out there :

Sheens : " keep looking Roycie - second rowers are like play dough - you can mould them in to anything "

Roycie : " hey boss what about this guy - Jack Buchanan - says he is a second rower but has been playing prop all year for Saints"

Sheens : WHAT??? Give me a look at that Roycie - your right - damn that Steve Price - can't come with an idea of his
own so he steals mine - its gonna be bloody hard to get second rowers now with two of us on the hunt we should sign the kid to teach Price a lesson"

Have seen this bloke play & he has potential, also in RLW they say Sheens not interested in Warriors job & it looks like Kite to Tigers, also Saints could be interested in Robert Lui. All very interesting.

Seems like Jack is a good pick up. Dragons have a good record of producing forwards. Think Merrin, Hunt, Creagh, Prior for starters. Also notice Jack was their Captain too so we're picking up a player who is a leader and judging by his stats, has a high workrate too. Only question this asks me now is that with us also being strongly linked with Brent Kite, it leaves me wondering are we about to see the shift of Murdoch-Masila to the second row on a permanent basis??

BMM is a backrower by nature and it also gives extra size and power to the Tigers forward pack.

Jack Buchanan - Prop
Mosese Fotuaika - Prop
Liam Fulton - Backrow
Keith Galloway - Prop

Chris Heighington - Backrow
Brent Kite - Prop
Junior Moors - although I suspect he'll be elsewhere from the sound of it
Soni Paasi - Prop
Eddy Pettybourne - Backrow
Ava Setumanufagai - Prop
Sauaso Sue - Backrow/Prop
Bodene Thompson - Backrow
Aaron Woods - Prop

Looking at that lineup, the depth does look better.
