Wests Tigers sign James Roberts till 2022

This might sound ridiculous, but the photos posted, he LOOKS fast, something about the way he runs.

Roberts at full tilt was probably faster than JAC , I remember he mowed Shaun Johnson down with ease , and Johnson had about a 10-15 meter head start

Recently heard an interview with Roger Fabri, the sprint coach for JAC and many others and I cant remember the distance (whether it was 100m of shorter like 40m) but he said the fastest he has ever trained was JTJ and that he was faster than JAC.

EDIT, looked it up JAC the fastest he has seen over 100m but the fastest he has seen over 50m was JTJ.

I reckon Jimmy would be faster over 100, rewatching some of his highlights the top end speed is crazy and he has the ability to maintain it

Where as JAC looks super explosive out of the blocks, but towards the end of his run seems to slow down a bit

He may have lost a step or two however you don’t lose all that natural speed in a year or two. I’ll hedge a bet he’s still one of the fastest in the league

2019 wasn’t that long ago and he still had that speed. Even losing a little speed he’s still crazy fast, physically he looks good, it’s the mental side that’s the issue. He’s been very up and down over the years, hopefully he’s on the up here at the Tigers.
