Wests Tigers sign James Roberts till 2022

Agree with all on here, no brainer pick up for 150K,.

Also hearing what POM had to say regarding his manager apparently suggesting the low 150K is actually most impressive, means he is isn't bringing ego and is legitimate about actually wanting to play footy.

Well done both sides. Welcome Roberts lets hope we can now terrorise both sides of the field with BJ included.

Yeah James did his achilles, I dunno what its like for football players but I know from basketball most cases you never have the movement you used to have. Hope for his sake he can get speed again, anything's possible

Has the talent to be the best centre in the game. Wish him the best. Maybe signing with the wests tigers will be his rock bottom.

Welcome aboard. Hope things can turn around for you. Your skills and power in the backline can only be of benefit to WT.

For those who were concerned, looks like Justin combed his hair for you:

I can go down to Lidcombe to watch BJ play thats about his level and present to be frank !

Welcome James, all the best mate. You have talent without a doubt and I can't wait to see it on display in our colours.

Also, the bloke next to you has good hair, I'd sign with him if he wanted me.

Good signing and well done to the team!

Lots of multiple position players like Mbye, Douehi, Momorovski and Talau. As I said last month, we all know who's going to be in the backline but what number they'll have on their jumper is anyone's guess!

It’s bad for basketball because of the constant jumping and lateral movements , at fast pace . Also the reason it’s bad for basketball is most of the ones who got the injury were 7-0 centres , who had limited agility to begin with . Plenty of NRL players have had that injury and come back fine . The ACL , hip flexor and Pec used to be the career enders. But the Pec isn’t a thing anymore , ACL repairs Re infinitely better , and the hip flexor , just had a few NFL players come back from that with innovative new surgery , to return to something resembling normal. Tua Tagliova just came back and looks the same player he was in college . Sux for Chris Lawrence he did it 5-10 years before the technology caught up .

Worst injury I ever had. It took me 12 months to recover fully and, as you say, my movements today is not 100%. I also have a large chunk missing from the back of my leg due to one botched surgery.

Potentially BJ and Roberts could be great centres for us.

Especially with Benji gone. (no offence meant to Benji, but he was not good for BJ)

Will be 28 come round 1, so not quite at the age where he’s over the hill. Still has a couple good years in him if his head is in it. Fullback anybody?
