What a load of baloney….what about his role in getting sheens and potter sacked....karma is a b**** and so is robbie

It’s one thing to dislike someone whatever the degree , but when some of the members let their hatred cloud their judgement as to what we need in the team, it goes beyond reason.
The facts are :
If we are to have a hope in hell of getting into the Eight, we need a quality Hooker,
Taylor isn’t a hookers Bum
Mckilrick is not a first grader
Liddle isn’t there yet
Lichaa is unlikely to be eagerly sought as a hooker by any other club in the game, and the reason is that he’s not especially good, and he’s not even here.

Farah has had great games in his two appearances in first grade, recently, so he’s still capable to play at that level, he’d be as keen as hell to finish on a good note ,and would be better than any other hooker that is available,

The idiot that we had here as a coach has gone , and been replaced by a Coach who seems to extract respect from the players under him , unlike JT,
and there’s no reason to think that he’d wouldn’t do the same with RF,

The interview with Souths Coach in the last two weeks showed that he had a high regard for the attitude that Robbie has shown with them, and Cook has said himself that he’s learned a lot from him,
Yet some here keep going on about him as if he’s Attila the Hun.

It might be hard to take ,if he does come back and makes a difference to our terrible DH”s games, but dislike him all you like , but he is what’s needed at least until the end of the season,
Or would you prefer to get your way ,and keep the team suffering from not having a decent DH

And yeah, are people forgetting he is a 80 min player who makes about 50 tackles

There are lots of positives
Experienced Hooker + Clever
Plays 80
Makes a lot of tackles
Wears his heart on his sleeve

Will free up people like ET to be more effective in other places…

In all the emotion, what you have posted is forgotten. Farah will strengthen our team.

You sound like the Liberals, only believe the polls that you like,

I'm not a liberal man
I actually vote for who I believe will do the best job long term
That's not Robbie
Robbie is not the best choice but may be the only short term option
The question is
Do we really need him
Would rather put his money towards another key player for next year

This is how i feel. Was unhappy with his role in pushing out Potter who was a good coach who attracted and assembled a good roster.
However I am also a believer that Taylor should have picked him as he had no better option and this is our best option this year. His game against Cronulla was rep standard and he can play 80 minutes for this year. He just needs to be reminded of his boundaries before he signs.

We need a hooker. Farah is the best option & Ivan won't be pushed around. But I sriously worry when I read stuff like:

_"Let's just say it may have been more than a coincidence that he was a late scratching when the Bears played against Wests for the Jason Taylor Cup earlier this year."_

Really? He didn't play for his team because of who the game was named after? That is deranged.

I saw a post over on the Tigers LU forum repeating a joke made from back at the time of the Jason Taylor Cup - "does it get presented to the losers?"

A good joke is a good joke…

Turn up at Leichhardt in a few weeks if Robbie is playing and see who gets the loudest cheer.

I guess they are not Tigers fans though..

Robbie is short term option and wouldn't cost much.

Ivan has said multiple times Liddle has a big future

He needs a full preseason. Small man in the middle is not an easy job.

Personally I don't think he would go well coming back. He wants to make the big play himself, he said that himself in a recent interview, he won't necessarily help our team-oriented style played.

That said, our attack is woeful, and if Cleary thinks Robbie would be good for our team, I'm more than happy to trust Cleary's judgement.

Worse case scenario, Robbie comes back, oversteps his mark, hogs the ball a bit, we don't make the semis. But we may not make the semis anyway, and Robbie would get a proper WT finish, and the Robbie and Benji finishing at WT would probably strengthen the club as a whole. As long as Souths don't want money for his services, and Robbie doesn't want too much himself.

Why does Robbie or even Benji deserve a "proper" finish

What about Brett Hodgson , Gareth Ellis , Chris Heighnington , Beau Ryan , Anthony Laffranchi or ,Bryce Gibbs

What makes Robbie or Benji for that matter so special ??

I'm not saying Benj and Robbie do deserve it, or that the others don't, just that if it happens WT the club could put a good spin on it so that even if the signing of Robbie goes bad, we could still get some good out of it PR-wise.
