Wests Tigers sign Tom Humble from Parramatta

Previously on this forum it was suggested that the Tigers sign Tom as he was a future star shackled by the incompetent Parramatta coaching staff.
Then I saw him rip Balmain apart in a NSW Cup game at Leichhardt Oval on Foxsports and all I can add is that the previous posters who wanted Humble at our club were very good judges.
Parramatta have signed Mullaney, our superstar NYC player from 2009 who didn't set the world on fire playing against older players while Humble could be the answer to our Achilles Heel!.
Unless of course Mitch Brown or Beau Ryan are given a genuine opportunity to cement the No.1 spot.

He is one of the better players in the NSW cup, and seems reasonable, i wasn't overly excited by the signing, but feel he could be handy, a mate of mine who has a loose association with the Parra club and is a good judge is disapointed they lost him, so that a good sign

So where does this now leave brown?

Still better than Humble.

I think this may signal the departure of Geoff Daniela. Brown and Reddy will be regular first graders, Humble and Grant will wait it out in the State Cup with BRET until their services are required. Good depth buy IF Daniela leaves. Otherwise we just have wayyyy too many backs.

Reddy, Ryan, Ayshford, Lawrence, Tuqiri, Brown, Grant, Humble, Simona, Meaney, Utai (?), Daniela (?)

Plus Koroibete and Nofoaluma are playing pretty damn well for the U20s…

Was he the player swap that was discussed in a previous thread Mullaney for Humble? May not be costing us much at all!

Interesting signing. He sounds like a pretty talented player and a good ball playing fullback sounds good to me!

Don't really think anything about it, can't see him playing that many games next year (I'll be shocked if he plays 5, unless we have injury problems).

Never seen him play so the jury is out on this one until next year.

NO,NO,NO,NO,NO. He is crap the tigers recruitment staff are actually stupid in doing this.

Have you ever watched him play? Good speed, goal kicker and safe at the back. Give yourself an uppercut.

You are the sort of person who would have rejected Marshall because he was too small and could not tackle.

Let's just wait and see how he works out. We need a fullback and a goal kicker. He fits both criteria.

The more backs the better. It is called competition. Play well in first grade or greet the reserve grade coach. It is about time.

What were his parents thinking when they named him Tom? I betcha the other school kids called him Tom Thumb. Should have picked a stronger name like Michael or James or David.

I love the comment we have to many backs..Lawrence out long term and have had a problem filling the spot.If this guy doesn't work out I'll eat Humble Pie! Depth is a beautiful thing.

I think you spelled "Mullaney" wrong…

In my opinion Humble is a reasonable signing. Stuck behind Hayne and looking for an opportunity.

Fair enough and welcome Humble to the mighty Wests Tigers!
