WESTS TIGERS SIGN TWO PROMISING BALMAIN JUNIORS
30/07/2010 4:56:26 PM
Wests Tigers have secured the services of two very promising juniors from the Balmain Tigers Junior Rugby League to long term contracts in Kyle Lovett and Curtis Sironen.
“Kyle played NSW U16s last year. He is currently playing at centre but will probably end up as a lock forward,’’ said Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell.
“Curtis is a five-eighth who is going very well. He is the son of Tigers legend Paul Sironen.
“They are both only 17 this year and they are signed to Wests Tigers for the next three years with an option for 2014.
“Both will play SG Ball for Balmain Tigers next year and when this competition finishes, we will look at moving them up into the Wests Tigers U20s squad should they be playing well.
“Kyle and Curtis are good young kids who trained very well in our Wests Tigers Cubs program this year. We are very happy about retaining them.”
