Wests Tigers single best decision

If we're going to run a biggest mistake post, then this is fitting

I'm a glass half full sort of person

I would say it was the signing of Hodgo - skilled, tough, determined, composed, classy. For mine he was the standout in our title winning season, and that makes him a clear choice.

I know a lot of us have certainly complained a bit about him over the last few years, some more so than others (a lot more, like BB), but getting Sheens on board, he brought the club together and got things moving in a positive direction after Terry Lamb's tenure.

I almost posted Sheens too Tigerdave. It's hard to believe, but his continued player support, along with much improved club management, has made the Sheens era much easier to bear over the last year or two.

I'd say hiring Tim Sheens. Regardless of your persuasion, more than a capable coach and at the time he was a perfect fit to bring the two clubs together. No affiliations to either, just lets get together. Possibly should have been the case when the joint venture started!

And to add, he always has a quality team around him in most departments. Certainly has respect of the professionals in the game if not some of those on this forum.

For me persisting with John Morris @ halfback or playing Fitzhenry @ 5/8

Woops absolutely the wrong thread!

Best decision, moving away from ANZ Stadium.

yes im with you crayola.

Single best decision signing SHEENS every player in the tigers would agree im sure.

1\. From a Balmain Tigers historical point of view - not joining with the pond scum.
2\. Signing Sheens
3\. Signing Benji

Benji, hands down.

Almost created a new young generation of Wests Tigers fans singlehandly with his step, flick pass and shimmy.

An exciting player and a class act to boot.
