This would be a defining moment in our history if we can get this up. They've done a tremendous job to put together the plans and funding. Surely the state govt cant shy away from a 10 mil contribution with so much other secured funding!

Go u Tigers. Get this done and all is forgiven!

Surely the 4 would want to be involved in this new era. They really could make make their names to be part of the bedrock for this new future.

It certainly would be defining and would provide state of the art training facilities at long last. Such a development would also entice other players to the club if management can get their act together. The proposed facility at Campbelltown would be the icing on the cake.

Surely a certain bloke attached to the WT's could help build it a bit cheaper as well

No they are charging $57 million, and will then pay out $32m in TPAs for wests tigers players. That is how Parra did it isn't it?

We'll name it after Tedesco. That should sweeten the deal for him to stay shouldn't it?

That's Gold but they are naming it after Robbie.

Open spaces will feature some of the most comfortable benches seen in Australia. Will there be an on-site chiropractor in the rehab centre?

Yes and plenty of fences to jumping over and a hidden car park for the quick getaway

parramatta stadium? pffft dont think so..

Just upgrade cambelltown and play there. Leichardt oval is beyond upgrading..

So ignore the best rectangular stadium in sydney and play in a fictional upgraded Campbelltown ?

Who want's to run out on parra stadium ablaze with blue & gold livery, That will feel like home.

I reckon the players would love to run out onto a new stadium. You cant give them a brand new training facility then make them play on cow paddocks.

Great news if the extra 10 mil is put forward but the government but even if not, I'm sure with $47 mil they could design a great training facility!

Three locations were being considered for the Tigers Centre of Excellence in recent times; Concord, Campbelltown and Liverpool.

Liverpool - Council unable to obtain Federal funding, resulting in Tigers dumping the idea.

Campbelltown - Julie Bishop announced in June 2016 that a re-elected Liberal Government would make the $15 million proposal happen. Campbelltown Council was to contribute $5m, Urban Growth NSW $1.68m, Western Sydney University $1.4m and AFL $250,000, Wests Tigers $250,000 and Cricket NSW $100,000\. This would have the Liberal Government covering the remaining $7m. If this were to happen it would be great for our local juniors from that region, but I imagine the government funding would be from the same $40m pie that the Concord proposal is seeking.

Concord - Proposal is impressive but $10m from the $40m pie is asking for a significant slice considering the number of other clubs and sporting organisations that will be gagging for a piece - like a nest of hungry sparrows!! Hopefully the $30m for the community based section can sway that large portion of pie in our favour. Souths want $10m towards their proposed facility at Maroubra, and Manly $10m for upgrades to Brookvale, and who knows what other proposals we're up against.

If Pascoe is successful it would be a significant achievement - good luck Mr Pascoe, we're all rooting for you!!

What ever happened to Carns Hill plans?

When it's built I'll believe it

Governments and councils promise the world and end up bending you over

The good thing is that the 40 mil is for nsw nrl clubs only.

Souths are laughing as they got a purpose built training ground at Redfern not long ago. Manly deserve a slice. Parra, roosters have stadium upgrades coming. Cronulla and newy have relatively new stadium upgrades. Bulldogs already have a Coe facility.

I hnestly think were due for some govt cash

Would it be too far of a left field idea to incorporate the old balmain leagues club within the precinct? If we are building it from the ground up, a leagues club would put good coin back into the government and the community?? Then it could be a real centre for the club and kill off a lot of financial speculation that continually surrounds us!

Robbie Tedesco - never heard of him.

Why name it after a nuffie?

Will you ever get over it?
Whatever happens I hope it doesn't turn into another Balmain Leagues club fiasco.
