Happy to see Utai have a run in this trial but Brown, Latu, Tagive, Ryan and co must be in front of him IMO. Other than the Utai selection looks like to good side and a chance for a few to show what they've got.

@Chris said:Utai will more than likely take on the role as this forums butt end for jokes and blame first taken on by Daniel Fitzhenry, then John Morris only to be regained by Fitzhenry. Hope Utai is thick skinned.

It is a trial, so i am willing to see what Utai has got. We know what Ryan can do, and we know Sheens is a fan, so I would not think this is a sign Utai has the spot wrapped up. Also, Brown's best spot seems to be at fullback, and IMO he doesn't seem very good when on the wing.
@willow said:How Utai has earned a starting spot on the wing ahead of Brown, let alone Latu and Tagive is mind boggling. He lacks the pace of the three aforementioned players, and can't jump for a high ball. Really struggling to understand the logic behind that choice.
Rest of the squad looks good, particularly since Payten and Ellis are yet to join the forward pack.

Ahead of Daniela and even Beau is equally surprising.
