Wests Tigers team for Parramatta Trial

I've been out of the loop for a while.

Nice looking side, especially the backline. I think that should probably be out first choice backline, the only spot for contention is fullback, and halfback.

Where are the following players though?

Moltzen (still injured? - thought he'd plan in this one to dust off the cobwebs)
Ryan (hopefully he remains on the sidelines)
Ellis (still injured?)
Payten (still injured?)
Fifita?
Murdoch?
Gibbs? (still injured)

Bit concerning with how many players in the forwards are out, hope they are all fit by round one.

Great to see Moors get a go, forgot about him.

You're pretty well right with those players named being injured Hybrid. Moltzen rolled his ankle almost 2 weeks ago but is likely to be right for round 1\. Ryan apparently has some sort of leg injury. Ellis won't play until round 1 at the earliest. Payten is recovering from off-season surgery - not sure how close he is to playing. Fifita is in the same boat although he might play in the Foundation Cup. Not sure where Murdoch is at in his recovery from shoulder surgery, ditto for Gibbs, although I think Bryce will be right for the season opener.

as for that parra team, not a very impressive line up - but keep an eye out for jacob loko this season.
Doubt he'll stay repping the yellow & blue for long.

whats the go with jacob loko and why??

Plus

what does "doubt he'll stay repping the yellow & blue" mean.

I must be getting old.

seen loko play a bunch of times - great attacking talented youngster, he's defo on the come up.
Keep an eye out for him

and for the second question, i don't know what kind of contract he is currently on but a few clubs were chasing him last year & if eels can't come up with some decent figures $$$, i think he'll be taking better offers elsewhere.

I think he's 18 or 19, massive head & is pure talent.

massive head? Is that a compliment or a criticism.

Most of the main players played to te end, including meany and miller.
Mullaney came
Off with cramp.

Parra looked fairly sharp out there tonight, maybe Benji's onto something….I was very surprised.

Our blokes looked a bit weary to me....Probably been on the sauce with Demps.

Only protein shakes over here boss, haha….

Is anyone upset about this loss? It's just a trial... just a bit of practice.

i agree with you demps. its just a trial. we normally dont win them anyway

Yeah I'm a bit upset about the loss, especially the score line. They ended last year so well and I thought the guys would be raring to have a go after such a long off season. Also, it was a good opportunity for players like Moors, Woods and Utai to show the coach they are worthy of first grade selection, but they just blew it. As some have already pointed out, we always play crap in trials, but my question is - what's the point of playing them if you're not prepared to have a go?

It's a trial don't read too much into the result. All trials are won by the team that wants to win them, if we came away with no serious injuries that's more important than winning the game.
