Have no idea how anyone can hope for something (a player being injured) that only puts the team at a disadvantage for options or depth. That's a loss for the team really.

The Simpkin situation needs to be handled carefully. Teams without their regular 9 or simply lacking a good one would kill to get a talented kid like Simpkin and would throw a lot of cash his way to make it happen despite contracts etc. Same applies to Liddell if and when Simpkin gets the nod ahead of him. Good 9's are rare and much sought after.

Yet The Storm had 3 till recently, I don’t think a kid who has never played NRL will be to shattered at this stage of his career.

He still has a lot to do, but no pressure?
