He was one of our best forwards against wenty. Not saying a lot, but he and Miller were mostly good.

@magpiesteve I thought he was great off the bench with Mikaele.
Other than Twal and ET, the tackling techniques used by some of our boys use are a bit worrying.
I also notice the body shapes and sizes of Matulino & Packer are much more complimentary for Twal & Eiso, and therefore the defense is much more efficient.

IMO there's just far too many post-contact metres being made due to this reason ONLY.

Absolutely feel for Twal right now, as he could really use some help up front. However, am thankful for ET's inclusion in team to help us defensively.

Packer was blowing hard after 1o mins on Sunday. Seems very unfit

Not feeling it this week - Canberra are a different outfit with the poms in the forward pack and again have us covered for size and speed across the park. We'll need them to have an off night to have any hope in this one but I reckon we'll go down by 30.

We will need our best defensive of the season to beat them

I don’t like the Farah Liddle rotation. I’d leave Farah for 80 and carry forward. Also would give Chee more minutes he needs time to warm up and Lawrence been ineffective

Farah is waxed after 50, and Liddle can't play 80 yet. Two hookers is the only way to go.

I don't think he's ineffectual at all. He's still playing good footy, he just doesn't have a full game in him now. It's caught up with him quickly.

@Tigerlily I agree. I’ve noticed him making a heap of defensive errors either rushing up, or not pushing across once the ball goes passed him, leaving holes everywhere

@balmain-boy I liked how we did this last year. Think Ivan used ET & Liddle this way for the Manly game at Brookie, and we all know how that went for them.

Agree with you @Cultured_Bogan. What's that old saying...you're only as strong as your weakest link...and ATM Robbie Farah isn't ours.
I do however think the club can afford to rest Robbie and Lawrence over the next month. Perhaps bring McQueen or Gardner back in and I believe young Oliver Clark deserves another crack.
I'd also like to see some of our young rep players get a chance this year.
