Yeah why are we even talking about Lawrence? He's in his last year and we're not making the finals. Give the new guy a go. There's no reserve grade this year so the more game time he gets the better.

Exactly asu is here for a few more years give him the experience he needs. It’s not like bulldogs have a potent backline either.

He will be a much better player next year if he gets significant experience this year. Continuing to play guys that aren't here next year is counterproductive.

I would also make the observation that there is a dam good chance he was recruited in Auckland by Hartigan who would no doubt know his capabilities. He's here because of chance ie SBW and was to make his debut for the Roosters except for injury.
