Clark and Eisenhuth in a starting lineup is a worry.

Forward depth is an issue. We’ve got guys but they aren’t great. Should be better next Year with Blore, Stefano and hopefully some more new signings

Agreed. Only kids but if our back up depth is Blore & Stefano in place of McQueen & Packer, we are heading in the right direction.

And check out DWZ playing winger for the Dogs? Start of the year fullback, last week centre, now winger?

Heading towards the crowd ....apt if you ask me

Hopefully the depth signings we make can be better than our current guys. If we get a few injuries hopefully it’s young promising guys taking the spots or older guys who can still play. At the moment it’s our biggest weakness we lack quality on our bench

I’ve got to disagree mate . We have 3 of our top middles our injured at the moment . ( I know people don’t rate packer , but I reckon he might still have something left in the tank) . Add in Blore’s slow recovery , McQueen is nowhere to be seen and guys like eisenhuth, and Taylor, who started a lot last year , are depth players now . This is a good sign. You ideally want the Seyfarth and McIntyres of the world to take positions. It’s the natural state of things , to have a young 22 year old take the job of a 32 year old.

Clark starting ...puhlease

It's all about the question of depth.
Remember, Twal's out, Musgrave's gone too.
The middle is getting thinner like my hair (not my girth!).

I legitimately think the Dogs are slight favourites, 55/45. They will be desperate for a win. Their forward pack can go with any of the others in the competition. Ours is understrength due to injuries. We have a history of complacency (a) after winning and (b) when we play games we are expected to win.

The result of this game will be known after 15 minutes. If we let them march up field, allow their kickers time and space, and are passive with our line speed and first contact, then they will win. I have seen it all before and I'm honestly expecting it to happen again.

Hate to say it but I watched the Dogs closely against Cronulla - they weren't bad, have some firepower in the forwards and some skill in the backs. I don't like the match up for the Tigers and honestly think we go down by double digits here.

I feel you. It's so hard to be an optimistic WTs supporter.

dogs are tough in the forwards and our backs are not great if the forwards for dogs aim up Brooks will get no room we are in trouble

I have a bit of a sinking feeling too.

WTS we're due Foran had a wow of a game against us last year so did Lewis and winger Okenbor we are a better team this year improving each week

My point is look at teams like roosters or Canberra if they have injuries their bench forwards will still have impact. Our guys are solid but the old guys don’t offer much and the some of the younger forwards haven’t shown much either. McIntyre did well but hopefully Seyfarth and Clark keep improving because we struggled when they played.

Game 50 for Luciano this week. Crazy how quickly Madge has changed him as a player. Went from an unfit impact player who played 20 mins to a reliable 80 minute player who does all the tough stuff as well as scoring tries.

Love his energy on the field too, really happy we signed him.

He has been a great signing from the Dragons.

I think the dogs side looks ok on paper, they do have some quality players that can do damage on any given day..
I also think that our team can beat them as long as they keep playing for the whole 80 minutes..
The pleasing thing for me after the last couple of games has been our defence, the backline been given more ball(Mbye needs to get more ball,he has speed and football smarts, great run and dummy for Brooks to score last week) and Brooks is running the ball more, the team looked better with him running and being a danger( this is his game style and he looks more like an attacking half when he does run the ball),
There is plenty of optimism about Sundays clash,I think we will beat them or at least give them a very hard game if they want to win it...

Not really more to do with Mary being a flop..Leilua played 5 starting games ie 80min for the Drags in 2019 ..3 in a row in the final rounds was great in each scored a double in one..as a starter he had Frizzell and T Sims in front of him..If Maguire had Frizzell and T Sims here too I'd dare say Leilua would be coming off the bench too..

He also ave 41mins a game in 2019 not 20..which is about right for a bench forward..

Going great here..

Disagree.

He was used as an impact player off the bench at Saints.

However I saw him play quite a few games of 80 minutes and he was fit and one of their top defenders, who offloaded quite a bit.

Madge is just playing him 80 minutes all the time and stopped most of the off loads.

He has him slightly fitter (I emphasize slightly fitter), that is all I will give Madge credit for.
