That is a ridiculous statement. back in the late 60-70s there were only 2 reserves and when you were substituted you were finished for the day also head knocks has only recently been recognised as problem(since 2010+).
When i played if you went off due to concussion you were called a "wuss" or far worse and basicaly told to get back on the field.I am far from a fan of BJ but he has to pass tests to come back on the field and he failed them.
Well normally you see a few replays with anyone going off for a HIA incident, his HIA occurred when tapping back the ball which means his head would be higher than the opposition, did not look like the wobbly boot on either???
Ridiculous statement when you played give me a break, the comment was not about different era but what was observed today. We all played in that era and certainly are tougher than the trash team we saw today as paid full time professionals on lots of $$$$$.
