Without exception I cannot see the justification for calling up any of the 20's squad this season over the members of the State Cup squad. Lui and Dwyer are both very talented prospects but they should be way down the pecking order

Couldn't agree more Smeg. The structure of League in NSW is appalling it is all over the place.
Most coaches I have spoken to agree that the step up from the under 20's comp is great, particularly for forwards.
Sure you will get the exceptions but for every one who makes it the are a hundred who do not.
I believe we have to revert to a first, reserve and third grade side. This would provide natural progression for young players to learn how to play the game with the ultimate aim to play at the top level. Each NRL side should be compelled to field a side in reserve and third grades.
They should then look at the district competitions to provide the vehicle for young players to advance to the NRL competition.
It seems to me the league do not place much importance on the State Cup Competition, the teams are relegated to sub standard fields, and you cannot find results in any of the media. Also I cannot come to terms with teams not playing on the same day prior to First Grade Game.
I cannot believe we allow NSW players to play in the QLD state competition i.e. Manly.
I have said it before I do not believe David Gallop is the man for the job. Whilst there has been a small increase in the crowds this season, I do not believe it reflects the state of the game. Clubs are struggling and I believe the game is not going forward. We need to go back to the drawing board and undertake a complete overhaul but i cannot see this happening and I am really concerned for the future of Rugby League.

at least fifta knows how to keep those lets moving after first contact
stolk is just as young as the u20s and i dont even know who the toher prop for wests is
Gower wont work either hes to small for prop

The last time Danny boy was thrown up front we got smashed to bits by Parra or the dogs cant remember the actual game and wasnt it the same game he snapped his achilies. Anyway one things for certain their must be a better option in our club somewhere. We need him in the backrow keeping a eye on their inside balls not doing the donkey work.

IMO i think Heigno and Skando will not be playing, who will replace them I know Halatau is named I just think we are gonna get rolled by there pack in attack and defence.
Also Big Red is prob only 60% fit I am really worried we are to be beat 13+! Hope I am completly wrong though I usually am LOL!
