TEAM LIST Wests Tigers Team v Gold Coast Titans

Team List
I understand not changing the starting side and leaving To'a out. I don't think this is about week to week performance but is instead about building the team. If you start dropping players week to week based on whether they knock on or not you're going to improve players performance, so I wouldn't drop Laurie either. This is frustrating but probably the right move.

However, I don't understand the bench. I like Peachey's versatility, but I'd still prefer a back on the bench to cover inevitable backline injuries. Peachey hasn't really had a chance to just play a particular role in any match and I'd give him a start at 13 and get him to play more of a conservative Yeo type role, rather than his current ad lib halfback get in the way of everything role.

I don't think Zane deserves to start. He theoretically should work better off the bench, though he's been bad at that too. In my side I'd have Seyfarth or Joe O playing prop. Starting Peachey allows you to carry another versatile player on the bench.

Is Mikaele injured or just dropped? I think he's better than Zane.

So my main problem is with the mix of forwards and the bench.

Shuffling deck chairs on the titanic. It’s a very plain group of forwards with nobody scaring the opposition.

I've been a staunch Madge supporter in the time he's been here but if you're not going to pick the teams based on merit and reward the players who are actually playing well then what the hell is the bloody point. How does To'a get dropped from the team when he was by far our best player last week and showed more in that one game than Nofa and Roberts (especially) have in the past 2 seasons. Also, it doesn't make sense for Musgrove to be starting and Twal to come off the bench. Twal is solid and will do his job for long minutes, Musgrove should be off the bench to provide impact. These decisions just don't seem to be making sense at all.
I agree with you @AL The Tiger that it doesn't "seem to be making sense at all".......to Us.
But I feel to Madge and the rest of the coaching team.....and Sheens, the selections 'would' be making sense and there would be very valid reasons as to why they have chosen the players the way they have.
They see the players every day and how they are training and who fits with who the best.
And the players we think should be 1st picked may be carrying an injury we dont know about.
Keep your chin up mate 🙂.
Dont know why and I may be completely wrong, but I have a very tiny feeling that after last weeks improved display particularly in defence, there will be at least another slight improvement against the Titans.

Mate I'd love to have your enthusiasm but last week was not an improved performance at all. To me, it was almost as bad as the Knights display but only saved by the fact that the Warriors are even worse than us and yet we still couldn't manage to beat them

Sometimes it just takes a bit of good luck to come away with a win rather than a loss.
Just gotta get the ball to bounce into your hands or for that really difficult pass to be held onto.

Just answered your own statement..he was dropped
No he wasn’t because it wasn’t his spot to begin with. He came in last week to plug a hole. Once Maulmalo was fit he comes back in and the guy who wasn’t even supposed to be there drops out.
