Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire has named his 21-man squad to take on the Gold Coast Titans for their Round 9 clash this Saturday at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The match will feature as a tribute to the late Tommy Raudonikis OAM, with Saturday marking the first time that Wests Tigers will play at Campbelltown since his passing.

After an important win over St. George-Illawarra in Round 8, Maguire has made one change for this week’s game with Moses Mbye shifting to centre in place of Tommy Talau, who is ruled out with a one-game suspension.

A Noosa Pirates junior, Mbye will play his 50th game for Wests Tigers this week having joined the club midway through the 2018 season.

With Mbye moving into the run-on side, hooker Jacob Liddle returns to the interchange list after a string of impressive performances in the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup competition — joining forwards Stefano Utoikamanu, Alex Seyfarth and Thomas Mikaele on the bench — while Shawn Blore joins Michael Chee Kam, Zane Musgrove and Tom Amone among the reserves to round out the 21-man squad.

Wests Tigers Player #243 Zac Cini retains his place on the wing after a scoring a try on debut last week while James Roberts remains sidelined with a chest injury.

I think we'll get no complaints re this squad. Interesting to see Esan Masters in the extended team for Titans. I didn't even know he transferred there from Cows.

Give it time

Can't win an NRL game with Mbye in the centres.

Have we ever won with him in the centres?

I'd rather see Packer play there.

yep. Seyfarth for Blore in the coming weeks. I really hope Mikaele plays consistent footy and keeps Amone and Musgrove out of the side, has always had the potential but drifts in and out of games. would be good to see him string a few performances together and re-sign off the back of it.

I'd rather see Packer play there.

v Cowboys last year when we racked up a cricket score in the first half, he was involved in about 4 tries that night. I'm sure there's been more but that's the first that springs to mind. we are far better defensively when he's on an edge.

I'd rather see Packer play there.

He played pretty much most of last year and the year before there, so yes.

Actually don't mind him there - doesn't offer much in attack but is usually solid in defense, if he can stop the leaky edges that's fine by me.

We played with him there a fair bit last year.

Sharks, Cowboys, Brisbane, Dogs (twice) We won with him in the centres

Happy with that.

Keen to see the hooker rotation, hopefully Liddle can come in and just run at tired forwards at the back end of the halves.

Tom Amone, Blore and Musgrove to hopefully be pushing for Seyfath's spot in the coming weeks.

Oh well. Another Tommy commemoration game down the toilet,

Gold Coast will target the weak link known as Mbye.

Game over before it starts.

Who would you play instead of Mbye?

Cini in the centres with Hoffperson on the wing.

I wouldn't have Chee Kam in the 21 after his last defensive effort. The previous 86 appearances before that were also good reasons not to include him.
