Maybe Maguire already had Fonua picked on the wing and just bought in Thommo to replace Mbye.

Mbye being injured is a positive his trial game was lifeless. Hardly tried to run the ball back.
Not good being injured but explains being limp.
Madge has always given young blokes a crack wouldn’t surprise me if he went with Dylan Smith.
