WESTS Tigers Team V Melbourne..

Godinet's service is far superior then McIllwrick's. It was one kick guy's, and on the plus side the play was on as the fullback was defending in the line. It was just the execution that let him down. Agree totally with hoping Liddle builds to more minutes.

Exactly, along with another or two, Pita put in over the off season and shone more than MMc in the trials and since, so deservingly keeps the spot.

I was listening to the parra game through my laptop at work on monday and I recall one of the commentators saying that "Godinets service from dummy half has been exceptional"…dont know who thinks he is not our first choice d/h at the moment, but he is doing pretty well until Liddle is completely ready to give 80 mins...MM is a tryer and has a go...all of the guys who have been selected by Ivan deserve to play ...

Dont forget PG & MM are not brilliant marque priced hookers....but are doing well....

To be expected.

Would prefer McIlwrick over Godinet though.

Same, I don't know how he keeps getting selected.

Maybe it is because of his versatility. But still, he kills our attack..

I just don't get why Godinet starts first. I would play McillWick and then when the side tires out put a fresh Godinet in. Why have Godinet get smashed by Smith?

I can see Marshall for Reynolds, Godinet for Marshall working really well.

You would start McIlwrick AND have Godinet AND Liddle on the bench…? 😕

Godinet has better vision. More to his game. McIllwrick is a runner that's it

Agreed, but that doesn't help if the execution is poor, as it is with Godinet. That kick in and out of the in-goal yesterday was horrible, ruined the end of that set. I'd rather a McIllwrick doing nothing and leaving the attack for our other options. Hopefully Liddle gets more minutes in any case..

Gee he is being crucified for that kick…his only real mistake in 4 games

I know imagine if that kick had come of Luke Brooks boot..

Luke would of lost his kicking licence AGAIN :brick:

What would you call a group of hookers? You have a gaggle of geese, a flock of sheep…

A brothel of hookers? A bed of hookers?

Agree we are winning and should reward the players involved however do Forum members think that we are one prop short on the bench?

And Liddle goes where????

Rochow has been playing eighty minutes and often part of that in the middle to allow Aloiai or MCK to come on, whilst Josh has played a little in the middle as well, so working pretty well thus far.

I'm Not Jason Taylor  Only 2/3
If Liddle is back then that changes things. I don't get why you would start Godinet first as I thought he would make the most of a tired opposition while MCK would tire them.

either way Marshall to bench, Reynolds to 5/8, Godinet to res grade.

For me it isn’t the kick itself but rather kicking on the third when we had eels on the backfoot. Brooks and Benji may have had something planned.

We go 36-6 and continue our momentum.

It was all killed with that kick, gave eels a 7 tackle set and they got back into the game.

I don't mean to break it…Liddle played last week...

Cut Col some slack ,Liddle was moving that quick at times he could of been mistaken for anyone

In all honesty, I just don't get the idea of having 2 hookers in your starting 17 .. why .. ?? Every other team has a number 9 who goes the 80 minutes. Yes I understand that Liddle is just returning from injury, but when we had MM starting why were we having PG on the bench. Are our two hookers in MM and PG really that bad that they cant 80 mins .. ?? We currently have a hooker, a utility, and 2 forwards on the bench. I'd rather that we'd be having 3 forward and a utility player on the bench.

Godinet can play in the halves if need be ,look at the bigger picture … All this chatter will end when Reynolds returns

Every other team…??? ..I'm not so sure..a quick scan of the team lists quite a few have 2 hookers... Sharkies Brayley/Seggy Rorters Friend/Radley Raiders Havlii/Hingano Warriors Luke/Tavaga Titans Peats/Rein even Melbourne have Smith/Smith..

I would say only the Dragons and Broncos have an genuine 80 min hooker even then Broncos have used Thaiday there this year..the rest may not have 2 genuine hookers but the utility as you call them mostly come on to give the starting hooker a rest

No Chambers big loss
No Finucane big loss
Suspect Nelson Asofa solomona
A disruption to the team

Tigers as per last week and with more confidence

Tigers by 8

Looking forward to seeing Liddle run straight pass Smith to set Thompson up for a try off a fast play the ball from Packman.
